Sunday

I wanted to give you a little glimpse at my future Miss Arkansas!
These are the best pictures we have of her right now because we have to be careful not to stimulate her by touching her or talking too loud or using a flash. We will get a MILLION pictures of her once she gets good and healthy - but for now we just want her to get well.
We think she is the most precious thing we've ever seen. I love her so much. I just can't wait for the day I can hold her and sing to her and feed her and dress her and play with her!

I'm sorry we are just now getting an update to you. My parents and I got to Tulsa about 5 yesterday. We were immediately greeted by a sweet couple who live in the area and had read my blog and had been in our situation and just wanted to comfort us and let us know they were thinking of us - they brought us a big bag of snacks and magazines and necessities. We took their picture but I'm having technical difficulties. Kuykendalls - thank you so much! Our Sunday School teachers came and sat with Scott most of the day yesterday and brought us a lot of things to help us as well. That was such a comfort to Scott.
And then out popped my blog friend Caroline and her mother! They had driven from Dallas all the way to see me. I had always hoped we would meet in real life one day and never dreamed it would be this way but we were so blessed to have them come and it just gave us a HUGE lift. (I am SOOOOOOOOO swollen from all the fluids I was given and from crying for the last 2 days - so excuse the way I look) (not that it matters).
We have had SO many people who have read my blog and are in the area bring us flowers and letters and cards and just give us encouragment. You hopefully know who you are and I hope to thank you somehow. We are overwhelmed with the outreach of so many people. I haven't had a chance to read all of my comments and e-mails. I may not respond to you right now but I want you to know that we have cried a thousand tears over how much each and every word of encouragment and prayer has meant to us. Know that we are SO eternally grateful. We would never be able to bear this if we didn't know we were covered in prayer.

We are waiting to hear from the doctor today and I will let you know what he says. Right now she is still stable but in VERY critical condition. They think she could be having heart issues. We may have a very long road ahead of us but we believe that God is going to heal our baby and He is going to use her in a very mighty way. We know God says in the Bible that when two or more agree in His name - He will answer. And we know we have 2 or 3oo,ooo people praying for us. Our prayer is that all who pray for Harper will see God's might and power and His love in the miracle we know He is going to do for us.

We love you all - whether we know you or not. Please keep praying.

Ran across your blog and just wanted to let you know I will be praying for your sweet baby girl, you and your husband. My family knows first hand how prayer works. My sister had a beautiful baby girl in July of 2007. She went into labor at just 27 weeks and the baby had to be sent to Jackson, MS. We live on the Alabama Mississippi state line. The hospital was three hours away from home. Presley stayed in the hospital for 3 months and under went many surgeries and procedures. But today she is a beautiful growing little girl. She started out at 2 pounds and know a year and half later she weighs 18 pounds. God is wonderful and he does answer prayers so please know we are praying for you all.

Kelly,

Someone forward me your blog today. I was looking and reading your pictures and they remimd me so much of my son. He was airlifted to AR children's in 2001 for breathing problems. They quickly realized that he had a congential heart defect, and would require open heart surgery. He was a week old when he had this done. He is now a healthy 7yr old. I just wanted to share this with you, because I know that it is an emotional rollacoster, and it always helped me to here others stories. I know that God is comforting you and that their are people all of the world praying for you. We will be praying for you also.

Hi there. I don't know you, but a friend "sent" me to your blog. Please know that I'm praying desperately for you and your sweet miracle. God is in the healing business and I claim victory for your family!

As I read through your blog, you have "people" I seem to recognize. About 8 years ago, I lived in Magnolia, AR. Any connection? It's just funny how God sends you to places and makes connections in the strangest places.

Saying prayers and lifting you up!

Kelly, we are all praying for your precious baby girl Harper.

I'm reminded of one of my favorite Scriptures that have brought me through really difficult times: Psalm 27:13-14.

The Lord is with you and His arms is around Harper. I believe to see a great outcome. Harper is one loved little girl by everyone.

She is SO gorgeous! What happened if you don't mind me asking? Was it complications from the drugs during labor?? (I ask because I am pregnant now and am scared of drugs) I hope that you are doing better and I will put you and your family on my church's prayer list.

Oh Kelly, i'm sitting here reading your story and am crying my eyes out! This hits close to home because our little boy was born just two days before your daughter. My heart just breaks to read what you all went through. I'm so glad you had so many people praying you her and you and holding you up to the Lord. It's so amazing to see her bright beautiful face now 8 months later and read all that she's been through.
You are a beautiful family and I'm so thankful you're all ok. Thank you for giving God the glory and pointing others to Him even during your darkest hour.
