Arkansas

I'm super biased but Arkansas is a wonderful (and a little overlooked) state! It has hidden surprises! 

Arkansas is not called the Natural State for no reason - we have a ton of lakes and parks.  We also love catfish and BBQ.  But we also have world renown museums.

Find the small gem of Oark and eat at the Oark general store. You must have some homemade pie then about 2 to 3 miles away go walk the swinging bridge over the Mulberry River then play in the river.
