Where is Martha Stewart when I need her?

I decided to postpone my holiday decorating for a week - even though I feel very pressured to have it done right now. :-) Since we were gone all day yesterday and church most of today - I just needed some time of rest and to catch up. I can start the week after Thanksgiving.
But I did start making this little wreath that I'm going to hang in my living room for a little whimsy. I still have to put balls all on the side of the wreath.
But I need help from all of you creative people. I am going to need something to fill in the gaps and cover up the foam wreath - what should I use? I was thinking maybe some red or green tinsel? Any better ideas?

So cute!!! I wanted to make one of those since we saw them in the parade of homes last year! I love what you've done so far! Unfortunately I don't have any good ideas for you. Surely there's some kind of filler at hobby lobby you can use. I can't remember what those ones we saw last year had!?!?

Hi! I love reading your blogs, I found it through Jessica's page. I've seen a wreath like this before. They had wrapped silk ribbon around the floral foam and used the same ribbon as a long loop to hang it. There was no filler between the ornaments. It was so cute.
Have a great Thanksgiving.

Some sort of fake snow sprinkle/powder that would go down in the gaps??? It would get messy--but you could do it out on the deck or something...

Very cute!!!

I 2nd the ribbon idea. That is going to depend on how those ornaments are attached though! Very cute...I might have to copy cat this one :o)

Oh I LOVE the ribbon idea! But I've already hot glued all of those ornaments on so it's too late. (but I plan on making a different one later - so I'll use it then!)
Keep the ideas coming!!!!

I like the tinsel idea but I was also thinking ribbon. Since you've already hot glued the ornaments kind of wrap the ribbon through the ornaments and hot glue it to the spots on the wreath where you can still see the foam. I can see it in my head but don't know if I'm describing it right... Does that make any sense at all??

Soo cute, Kelly! What about raffia or Spanish moss?

Why is this not on Oprah's Favorite Things list? It's uber cute. I'd buy some mini-christmas balls and hot glue those in as filler. As for the space around the "S", I'd try to rip it off & just put ribbon or holiday scrapbooking paper there. Then re-glue the "S" on. If you can't take it off, I'd try to slide paper or ribbon under it. Can't wait to see the final project!
