Sliding into a new year!

We had a great last weekend of our five month spring break!

Friday morning we went to Roaring River to the water slide.  It's our favorite thing.  They have been closed most of the summer so we didn't think we would get to go but we decided to go and we had so much fun.  It's always like stepping back into 1987 and I love it.

Then the girls got much needed hair cuts.  Their hair is SO thick and was so long.  We got it thinned and cut several inches off.  It just looks healthy.  My girls like having long hair but I told them it would grow faster this way.

We also have gone to Branson and White Water the weekend before school starts every year for the last few years and we decided last minute to go again!

We got there before it even opened.  There weren't many people at all.  Scott and the girls got to do all the slides without any lines.  We enjoyed the park so much and then once people started coming after lunch we left.

We stayed in a hotel near the landing in Branson and it was super clean and we never even saw another person.  It felt so good to get out of town.

We went to Cantina Laredo - our favorite place.  It was delicious! After dinner, we went back to our room and we were all asleep by 8:30.  We got a ton of sleep and it felt great!

We got up early this morning and came back home.  I had a lot of things to do before school started today.  We also had left Milli for the first time and I missed her.  We had someone checking on her but I knew she would be so sad without us.  And bless her heart - she was so happy yesterday.

Last night after dinner, we biked to our school and prayed in the parking lot.  We each took turns praying - even Will Holden.  I love this tradition but this year felt extra special and necessary.  I want our kids to remember they are prayed for.  I have a peace over this school year.  I hate how school has to look.  I HATE that they have to wear masks and be separated from their friends.  But I also know it won't be forever and this is building character in us all.  Kids are resilient and we should learn from them.

I love these three.  I have LOVED having so much extra time with them.  But I'm also excited for them to go back to school and get a little regular back in their life.

So ready or not - here we come!
