Christmas #1 and Birthday

Thursday after school we drove down to south Arkansas to spend Christmas with Scott's family.  We got there around 9 that night.  The next morning we did Christmas.

The kids got lots of fun things that they were excited about!

Gigi got the girls the mother of all LOL doll sets.  They had 70 boxes to open.  It had 2 big dolls and lots of small ones.  They loved this.  I have many thoughts on LOL - not my favorite thing.  I heard someone say the people who made it call it LOL because they are laughing all the way to the bank at the parents who buy this.  They need to be happy they have a nice grandma who would buy this for them. ha!

Will Holden got a lot of remote control cars and robots.  He was in heaven.

It was colder than we expected but we spent most of the day outside riding mules.  Scott's parents live on a lot of land and it's so nice for the kids to be out on it.

The girls drove for the first time.  It's great practice for when they one day drive and they both did really well.  They thought it was the greatest thing ever.

Will Holden loved riding.  He looks so big here!

You have to wear camo when you are cold and in the country apparently.

That night we went to eat at Flying Burger and drove around and looked at lights.

Saturday we had Christmas lunch and Scott's aunt and uncle came.  I didn't take a picture of them but we enjoyed their visit.

We spent most of that day outside too.

Sunday morning we drove home.  Sunday was also my birthday.  We stopped at Subway for my birthday lunch. ha! It's a 6 hour drive through very small towns so there isn't much to choose from.

I met up with Susan when we got home and she gave me my birthday present.

I told Scott what I wanted to do for my birthday was go on a double date with the Ormons.  I think it's been probably 6 years since we did something with them - just the 4 of us.  We are with them all the time but always with our kids.  We had a great time.

We went over to their house for a while after because both of their girls were gone with friends.  Scott put on Laurie's robe and glasses to dress up like her.  ha!

I spent all of yesterday running errands and getting last minute things for Christmas while Scott worked.

And today is Christmas Eve!!!

I'm still sending out cards.  I did about half and just quit.  If you are friends with me in real life - you may still get one after Christmas. ha! But I wanted to wish all of you a Merry Christmas from our family to yours!!!
