Catch Up

I took a little of a blog break the last week or so.  It's been a busy week or two.  My August is turning into the new December.  It's just SUPER crazy busy.  And I'm sad that this is our last week of summer.  I have a ton going on but I'm trying to carve out fun too.

Last week I got to see my friend Kelly.  She runs the Mama Well on Instagram.  It's such an encouraging account for moms - you need to follow.  I kept her kids for a while for her.  A lot of people have commented that our kids looks like they could be cousins - especially Hollis and her girls. It's so true and so funny!

I also got to see my friend Amy.  We have been "blog friends" for probably 12 years.  She lives in Birmingham so we haven't seen each other in maybe 9 years.  She has such a neat story that makes me smile every time I think of her.

The girls finished up art camp and I got to see their creations.  They had such a fun week.

It was a fun end of the summer activity for them.

Last Friday night was Hollis' turn for a one on one date.  She wanted to eat a cheeseburger so I took her to Five Guys.  She loved it.

We headed to target and got all her school supplies.  I have loved shopping for school supplies one on one with them.  It made it special and not so stressful.  I could have shopped online or by myself but they love picking out things and it is just really fun spending time with them alone.  I hope we can do this more often.

We walked around the mall.  She wanted to go to Justice and "Hollis-ter"  ha!

I mean - of course!

I love this girl of mine.  I love how they will open and talk when you get them alone.

She wanted fro yo to end the night.  So that's what we did.  It was perfect!

Saturday we decided to make one more trip to the Roaring River water slide.  I didn't realize until we got there that Hollis and I were matching twins.

Will Holden would only go down once and I went once and nearly broke my back so we both sat out but the other three had the best time.

It's just so much fun!

Last Sunday was our last time to teach Will Holden's class in Sunday School.  We have taught for three years but they are changing up our Sunday School times and we can't teach next year but I'm sure we will again.  I have taught on and off for the last 15 years.

I've caught you up on part one and I will finish up tomorrow!
