Merry Christmas

Our Elf, Madeline, made her final stop today to remind us of why we celebrate!

Our family is staying at home this Christmas Even and we get to celebrate at our church's Christmas Eve Service for the first time tonight.  Tomorrow we will head to my parents after Santa comes and we have breakfast.

We are thankful that Christmas truly is about the birth of our Savior.  I'm so thankful he was born as a baby and lived as a man and died for all of us so that we could have life eternally with Him one day.  It's the promise of Heaven that makes everything on earth bearable.  As the David Crowder song says "Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can't heal".

Praying for each of you today that Christmas is a hard holiday.  I'm praying for each of you who are missing someone you have lost.  Or that Christmas is a reminder of loneliness.  Or maybe you are too sick to celebrate this year.  Christmas is not always full of joy for everyone.

I pray that you will have joy that can only from God this season no matter your circumstance.

I pray for each of you as you celebrate with your family or friends.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
