Ahoy Mateys!

Saturday we went to a birthday party for our friend Brandon who turned 3. Harper was SO excited to go. I had told her about it and she spent the whole day singing "Happy Birthday to Brandon".  It was at Gymboree.  I took Harper here when she was Hollis' age but Hollis had never been. I think she had more fun than Harper. She is full time walking now and I think she is so much happier. She had fun playing with her friend Lela.
I was nervous to take her but she did so good. Of course a padded room to play in is never bad!
Apparently all Harper needed was more cowbell.
 Harper and Kade.
Brandon's party was pirate themed and super cute. They had pizza and cute pirate cookies and cupcakes. Harper was in heaven.  She got to play with Neely and Sarah Kate  - her favorite friends!
I love little girls in blue.  I thought Hollis looked so sweet Sunday morning.
And Harper was so excited to wear a Cinderella dress. She had to hold her cinderella Pez to pose with. (Ignore the water stain on her dress - she had just brushed her teeth).
This picture just makes me happy.  Sunday night they were still in their dresses (I'm not even sure why) and Scott had ran the sprinklers for the first time this summer (I realize it's still spring but it's almost 90 and I'm just in summer mode - so we are starting early this year).  They thought the sprinklers were so fun.  We haven't done this before but I think if it gets real hot later this week - we may put our swimsuits on and play in the sprinklers. Oh I love the simple pleasures in life!

I also want to share that I asked you a while back to pray for my friend Janet. She was diagnosed early this year with ovarian cancer. She works at our church and is just a hero in the faith to me. She's the one we all wore hats for on Easter. She did 3 rounds of chemo and today went in for surgery to remove the cancer. Our whole church and so many others have been praying for her. The youth group who she works with has been fasting and praying. And the doctor came out and just kept saying "It's remarkable".  When they discovered the cancer initially - it was all in her abdomen. Today it was gone. It was only in her ovaries and they removed it all. Our God is mighty to save! And the thing I know more than I know anything - if they would have walked in and said "there is no hope" - Janet would have been praising God the same. That's how much faith she has. If you want to be inspired and uplifted - read her blog - read today's entry but go back some. I'm just praising God tonight for healing Janet!

Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. 2 corinthians 1:9-11

P.S. This is a shout out to two girls, Alisha and Cami, who are friends with my sweet friend Aimee! The next time you run by my house - knock on the door and let's visit!!!! I'll give you a diet coke! :-) I'm serious!!!!
