He's Wild, He's Wild.......God is Wild about us!

I'm afraid I don't have a lot to share today.  This has been a day that has worn me out. I'm helping with our church's VBS this week.  It's exhausting but fun.  We had over 600 kids this morning. I'm helping with the 3 yr olds and we had a great group and I get to work with two of my friends so it's really pretty fun.  Little Hollis went to the nursery about half the time and spent half the time with me.
Part of the reason I like working is that Harper gets to go that way. She has a BLAST going to VBS. Our theme is pandas and they even let the 2 yr olds do some of the crafts - like these panda masks which she has carried around all afternoon.  This is Harper and a few of her nursery friends.  My friend Hester took all these pics - I forgot my camera.
One of the main songs we are singing is "He's Wild.....God is Wild about us".  It's stuck in my head today and so true.  I love this little panda bear.

After (VERY BRIEF) naps today - I had to take my car for an oil change which of course turned into needing a new battery (I think they saw a frazzled mom in a waiting room that was at LEAST 85 degrees) with two tired and fussy kids and saw a gold mine. They tried to talk me into other things but there was no way I could stay in that waiting room another minute. Harper was acting awful and melting down and my frustration level just kept rising like the temperature in that room.

We got home just in time to eat a quick dinner and I had a hair appointment. I left Harper with Scott and took Hollis with me.  She slept part of the time and then had a HUGE VERY stinky blow out.  Being a mom is humbling. I was googling "is this poop normal" on my phone while she dried my hair.

That's real life people. :-)

I think I'm going to go bake some cookies.

Oh and P.S. So many of you have emailed me about this but I picked Harper's name because I had NEVER heard of anyone with that name outside of Harper Lee and I wanted to be different. Well - of course now I feel like every baby born is named Harper and there are 5 celebrities that I know of that have named their baby Harper in the last 2 years including ..........David Beckham and Posh Spice. Great - now it's going to take off. I know the name doesn't belong to me. ha! But the popularity does make me a little sad. I'm glad I feel a little safe that Hollis probably won't hit the charts. But you never know...................
