Friends and Taco Soup

When you have young children and don't have family nearby - sometimes you run into times that you need to go to a doctor's appointment or a meeting or something that you just can't take a baby or toddler to.  I'm so thankful to have friends I can swap out with when I need to.  Today was one of those days.  Laurie kept Harper for me this morning so I could go to my dance practice (ha!) and then I kept Sarah Kate so she could go to the dentist. Emily had a play date at a friend's house.  I got the good end of the stick because I kept SK during nap time so both girls slept most of the time I had them!

 And also...........................

Last night I decided to try making Taco Soup.  Scott is not a big lover of soup so I rarely make it unless it's just for me.  But I found a good recipe and we both really liked it. Only you know Scott hates the word casserole - well apparently the name "Taco Soup" wasn't appetizing to him either.  He asked me if we could just call it meat, beans and corn in a bowl. Yeah - that sounds more delicious, doesn't it? I laughed for a long time after he said that. Men are funny! I posted the recipe on my recipe blog plus an easy one for Garlic cheese biscuits.  www.kellyskornerrecipes.blogspot.com

And finally.............I have been selected as a BlogHer compensated LG TextEd Ambassador. The focus of the program is to help educate parents about texting and ways to combat negative behaviors like bullying, gossip and inappropriate content being shared.
