Ready for Fall

Well - we ended up skipping swimming today. Not because of my fear of Harper's behavior but because it was about to come a downpour and I didn't want to drive 30 minutes just to get there and have to come back home. So we had a lazy morning at home instead and a good nap! We will go back tomorrow and finish up our week!

Dawson is Harper's best friend as long as there is food around
I'm SOOOOO thankful because I have a friend who has a little girl (she's the 3rd child after two boys) who is about a year older than Harper and they are similar in build. She dresses her SO cute and this summer she let me go through all her clothes and buy from her and she called me this week and said if I wanted to go through her fall/winter clothes - I could. So I went to her house today and got a lot of cute outfits for Harper for a great price! I've been storing up outfits here and there for this fall and winter. I almost hate to buy ahead because I would have never guessed this summer we would already be in a 2T but I feel safe that she will wear a 3T through winter.

I am SO ready for fall, are you? We have had a HUGE heat wave lately and have been in the 100's and EXTREMELY humid. It's just too miserable to go outside and I hate getting a baby in and out of a hot car. I love everything about fall - the changing leaves on the trees, the smell of pumpkin candles, pumpkin patches, FOOTBALL, just the crisp fall days........... I don't like to wish time away but I'm just ready for the change of seasons! It won't be long! (I am thankful we got rain today and it was only about 80 degrees which almost felt like fall!) We are back to the 100's by the weekend.
