17 months

This was one year ago today.
This was also one of my favorite pictures of Harper.

It makes me sad to realize that I can barely remember her being that little.

Harper you are 17 months old today!!!

You are growing and changing SO quickly. You are the busiest girl in the world! You never stop moving. NEVER!

You weigh 29 pounds. You wear mostly 24 months/2T clothes.
You wear a size 4 diaper and size 5 shoes.

You are sleeping SO much better thanks to the sound machine and blackout panels. Right now you go to bed between 6:30 and 7 and sleep until around 7:30. You usually get up at least once - around 11 or 12.

You usually take one good nap for 1.5 to 2 hours - sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon.

I told your daddy today I thought you would be a mechanical engineer because you love to figure out how things work and you can figure things out so quickly.

You are becoming very independent. You want to do EVERYTHING for yourself! You want to brush your own hair, brush your teeth, feed yourself, hold your own bag.....and on and on.

You have this thing you do when you want one of us or anyone to hold you or pick you up - you hold out your arms and motion your hands. It is the sweetest thing. I always say I hope you are still doing that when you are 20.

You sign the "more" sign all the time - only you do it mostly when you REALLY want something - especially something sweet like cake, cookies, or brownies. (You came out of the pantry with a brownie mix box the other day - handed it to me and started furiously signing "I want it") ha!

You are throwing a lot of fits and you get so mad when you don't get your way - you will bang your head on the floor or anything you can find when you are frustrated. It scares me to death but I know it's a normal sign of you getting your emotions out. I heard Beth Moore describe one of her daughters as a strong willed child that could make James Dobson cry and I often smile and think of that description on days when you are being particularly stubborn.

I am EXHAUSTED every night. You completely wear me out. BUT I spend most of my night smiling and laughing about things you did during the day and wanting to wake you up just so I can see you smile. Your daddy and I can't wait every morning to go in your room and get you! I can't imagine my life without you in it. I love you SO much!
