Easter 2010

Happy Easter !!!

I couldn't quit thinking this morning that this time last year - it was the very first time for us to take Harper out ANYWHERE! Church was her debut into the public and I was a nervous wreck.
I can't believe how much she has grown and changed in just one year!
The Easter bunny visited our house this morning. He brought a few little dolls, bubbles, a book and a bathing suit!
Harper had fun checking out her goodies this morning before church!
Our church had two services this morning and we went to both. We participated in Cardboard testimonies this morning and this was ours. I thought it was so neat that our church did this today on Easter. Easter is the day of the ultimate testimony - when Jesus died for our sins as a sacrifice so we could spend eternity with him. And it was neat to read that beyond salvation - what He has done in so many lives. And the wonderful thing is - every person in that church could hold up their own cardboard testimony of how God has worked. We had a wonderful Evangelist, Junior Hill, preach and had around 33 people saved between both services! Such a wonderful morning!
I told you our family was going to wear pink but my cute pink sweater got cancelled because they were out of stock so last minute we switched to purple and white. I had bought this dress a while back and just hadn't worn it yet. (truth be told it was a little snug when I bought it and today it fit great! yeay!)
Harper was so excited this morning carrying around her little bunny purse my Aunt Linda gave her!
I love to have traditional ham, potato casserole, green bean bundles, etc for Easter lunch but because Sunday is such a busy day - we decided to have something a little less formal but very good - KFC! :-)

We may not have had Ham for dinner - but we had our own little "ham" at lunch
I can't tell you how thankful I am for my family of 3 on this Easter day!

We have spent Easter lunch with Laurie and her family for the last 5-6 years. I always enjoy it so much. Laurie's parents were here this weekend and ate with us also today. They are just like family to me.
Our friends Erin, Zach and Kinley joined us for lunch also. Erin made the BEST coconut cake (which is my 2nd favorite cake after red velvet) and I got her recipe so when I am not dieting I will have to make it. (I broke my diet today obviously) ha!

We had to get a picture of the four girls together. I think they are all the cutest little girls in the world. Emily is the oldest - she is 4. Sarah Kate, Harper and Kinley are all one. There is 7 months between them. I hope they will be friends for a while.
Can you tell there were 8 adults trying to get them to sit and smile and we were in all directions? There is not one where they were all looking at the same place but I just love these pics!
We had a little Easter egg hunt.

And this was after everyone left. Harper CRASHED. Bless her heart - she's had a big day.

I hope your Easter was wonderful as well!
