Tea and Crumpets

Our church has a wonderful women's ministry and I have been blessed to be apart of a weekly Bible Study. Last week was our last time for the semester but today they had a free Mother's Day Out for all the participants for 5 hours!!! I had been looking forward to this for weeks and had it all planned how I would use my time. I had planned to only take Harper for part of that time but it was going to be awesome!
But then Harper got an ear infection and then it was 20 degrees this morning. So I decided we would not go and I was a little let down but it's not about me anymore. I am thankful to do what is best for her.
But we did get out at lunch time once it warmed up and had lunch with Harper's boyfriend Brody. Harper has so many cute boys to choose from but we are VERY partial to precious Brody. This was their third date and they are really warming up to each other.
Brody's mom Jennifer and her sister Jill are so fun and easy to be with. We ate at one of my VERY favorite places - Crumpet Tea Room! It was so yummy! I even got Harper a kid's plate - grilled cheese, fruit and animal crackers. And she ate it pretty well!
Brody's dad, Josh, works nearby so he came by to say hi and see his boy! I almost forgot I had never met him in person because I read about him every day and just feel like he's an old friend! ha!

Josh even volunteered to take a picture of all of us! We had so much fun!

And to continue my love fest with Belk's (post below) - on Sunday when I got out my dress boots - I realized that they were just pitiful - like falling apart. Scott said they were embarrassing and they were. So I knew I needed to find some new ones but I also know that nice dress boots can cost $100 and up. So after lunch Harper and I stopped by Belk's and I found a pair I really liked and they were 50% off and I had a 15% off coupon on top of that so they were under $40! SO excited!

P.S. You have to go and watch Jennifer and Jill's video on Hair Poofing. It will change your hair forever! And it's so funny!

Thanks for the reminder that our kids are our priority and that it's not about me anymore.

After 3 boys, I still have a hard time remembering that! By the way, Levi is 13 months and if Harper would ever be interested in an older man, I have a 3 and 5 year old too!

I've been reading your blog since Harper was born. I was wondering if you did the LPM verse thing and if you'll be coming to Houston?!

You're such an amazing mommy to put Harper's needs over your own entertainment. I know that's part of the "job responsibility" but you do it with such humility everyday. Just wanted to let you know that it's a great example for those of us who want to be mommies someday soon, too!

What is Belk's? Is is a southern store? I went to their website yesterday, but admit I've never heard of them before then. Being a midwestern girl maybe that's why. Fill me in.

I thought I had hit motherhood for sure the first time I got to order Bailey something off the children's menu. It was at Chick-Fil-A and she absolutely LOVED it. We just about have to order her her own food now because we joke that she can almost out eat us. haha! Harper's dress is just too cute.

In the first picture, Harper is looking at Brody like he's trying to make some kind of crazy boy joke and she just doesn't get it! ha! ♥

I hope Harper is feeling better. I had to go to the doctor today and found out I have bronchitis. I started out with a cough in church on Sunday just like Harper. I thought it was just a bit warm in there for me but I guess God knew I was getting sick for real.

My mom cleans houses. She just started cleaning for her doctor. He has a little girl who just turned one and her name is Harper. When my mom says Harper, I am like "nooooo, Harper is in AR"!

I could have used the poof video last week! Midwest girls need some hair help from Southern girls. And someday my little girls will love that I now know how to poof!
