PRAISE!!!!!!

Most of you have seen this painting that is hanging in Harper's nursery. It is the verse I prayed as we tried to get pregnant with Harper and what we claimed after we were. This verse now means even more to me as we watch the miracle of Harper's healing.

Today has been the best day ever. I think it's probably better than my wedding day!
Harper has done SO well today. Scott told her yesterday that he would buy her a pony if she would just try to breathe on her own ........so someone is going to have to break the news to Dawson that not only are we getting a baby but a horse too. :-)
We started off the day at 80% oxygen. Right now she is at ........
57%!!!!!!
She is breathing half on her own! I have smiled all day long! We are SO excited!
We still have a long road here but she has turned the corner!
We had another sweet group of visitors today - thank you for all of you who came!!!

This is Harper's other day nurse, Karen. We love her too! Thanks to all the nurses for taking such good care of our sweet girl!
Scott's parents are so helpful to us - they went and did our laundry today. We are so blessed to have our families with us to support us.
We got this beautiful fruit bouquet today - thank you so much to the Woods in NE!!! What an amazing gift!
Look at these cute cookies!!!!!!! I love them - I don't think I can handle eating them - they are so precious - one says "welcome Harper" - thank you Laurie, Linda, Sunni and Tiffany - ya'll are SO sweet - I can't thank you enough!
Isn't this the cutest thing ever???? This sweet girl, Jen, came to see me on Monday and she came back today and brought me this necklace! I love it so much and I'm thinking I'll wear it pretty proudly!!!!

So many of you have asked for an address where you can send things. Really - we don't need anything - we are SO blessed. All we need is your prayers. But if you need an address - this is probably best:

Harper Stamps
EOPC
St. Francis Hospital
6161 S Yale Avenue
Tulsa, OK 74136

Thank you for your prayers - God has been so good. Please keep praying for little Brayden and for the other babies in NICUs.

What an answer to so many prayers. I am so happy for your little family. Since you mentioned a mailing address in your most recent post, I wanted to tell you that I sent something to you at the Ronald McDonald House. You should get it in a day or two. When I called, they assured me you would get it! Just think, you will soon be able to look into baby Harper's eyes...what a blessing!

By the way...one thing people can do to help you and others in your situation is to collect the pop tabs off of aluminum cans. The Ronald McDonald house in LR (possibly others) recycles these in order to help families. My sons school in Arkadelphia collects these.

There was an article in the AR Dem Gazette today. I'll try to do a blog post about it in the next couple of days. baxleydavis.blogspot.com

Oh Kelly, I am absolutely thrilled for your little girl. I'm sure that both you and Scott are walking taller, because of the weight that is being lifted off of your shoulders.

Stay strong, Kelly. You are a phenomenal mother, but more importantly you, Scott, and Harper are children of God that are SO loved by Him. I know that the journey to wellness is still a seemingly long one, but you all are in the palm of His hand.

I hope that you and Scott are able to get a peaceful night's sleep, and I pray that Harper continues to heal by leaps and bounds :)

Kelly- I have followed your blog through the last few months of your pregnancy and birth of Harper. I have prayed for you and your precious miracle. I know she is going to make a full recovery and be such a blessing. It sounds like we have alot in common- my dad is also a pastor (Lonoke,Ar) I went to Ouachita 1994-1996, and my husband and I had trouble conceiving our first baby. We had in vitro twice. We just had our second baby, and we got pregnant the old fashioned way!! I will continue praying and look forward to the encouraging updates on baby Harper.

I'm so thankful that she is doing so much better! Praise the Lord! You really should eat those cookies! They are delicious!!! You could freeze the one that says welcome Harper and keep it until she's big enough to eat (if it's still good then) or at least SEE it in person! We still have one from my 3 year olds cookie bouquet when she was born. (It had her weight and height on it) I'm sure you're thinking "that's gross" but, it's sentimental! lol Also, that verse is going to mean more and more to you as she gets older, I promise!

Praise God!!! He is so GOOD! I am so proud of Harper's parents, too! You guys are handeling Harper's situation with so much grace and concern. It is not easy to have a baby in the NICU--I don't know from experience, but I am an NICU nurse and I see what parents go through. Keep being the awesome parents that you are! Harper is one lucky little girl!

Kelly ~ this is wonderful news 57% ~ WOW! That Harper girl is a fighter.

Looks as if you better trade some of those bows in on a PINK Cowboy Hat and some Pink Boots because that Sweet Baby is going to have a PONY real soon!

I am so thrilled to hear this news and to God be the Glory! I think he is working over time for you guys these days. What a true blessing for all of you.

I can read it in your words that today has been a much better day for you...that was part of my prayer this morning, sweet friend.

Have you told your job yet that you have just become a STAY AT HOME MOM? I do not see you going back to work and leaving that little miracle baby.

We will continue to lift all of you in our prayers.

Lots of Love ~ Laura

I pray for Harper, and Brayden and all the sick babies all night when I am awake feeding my babies. Hang in there, remember take care of yourself too.

Praise the Lord! I wanted to share a verse that has always meant a lot to me during difficult times...

Jeremiah 32:17
Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.

I'm on the edge of my seat praying Harper home and looking forward to what God has in store for her! Bless her little heart!!

Oh Bless His Holy Name! This is all answer to specific prayers that you asked for. God is so good. This morning on the way to preschool and work we were praying in the car and Jaiden interrupted me and reminded me to pray for "all the little babies"...God is on our side and I am so thankful we have a God who cares about each and every thing, our fears and concerns but also our heart's desires. I am so glad to see you post the verse...I have prayed it over and over again this last week calling it your "theme verse" and I believe that while we ask for healing and recovery and the doctor/nurses have said you could be there for weeks, I am still praying for a speedier recovery because I know God is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine--today was DEFINITELY one of those days. Praise Him!

The name Harper is such a precious name and even as I taught my class of 1st graders in Plano,Texas today I thought of Harper several times today and each time she popped into my mind I said a sentence prayer for her. She is beautiful and I can't wait to see the blog pictures of the bows on her head. Reading with hope each day......Lindsey

Kelly, your little girl will be breathing on room air any day now!!! That's great!! She's such a fighter! When my daughter got off the CPAP and we were working on breastfeeding with the Lactation Consultant in the NICU, I promised her a pony if she just tried one more time to nurse. She did. And because I had a friend with me visiting that day during the nursing session, I went out and bought her a My Little Pony Christmas ornament that afternoon. I knew that if I didn't make good on my promise to get Cadence a pony, my friend would tell my daughter about my promise on her 5th birthday and then I'd have to get her a real pony :)

That is so great that your mother in law took care of the laundry so you had one less thing to worry about. I hope you can focus on your precious daughter, your wonderful supportive husband and taking time out to get some rest and pump that Liquid Gold to help Harper's body recover.

I hope someone brings you a Sonic Vanilla Diet Coke soon!

Thanks for keeping us updated! Can't wait to see her open her eyes soon!

The purple bow looks adoarble! I think she is ready to get out of there so mommy can realy get to dressing her up! Now she has a pony to look forward to!

Still prayer for sweet Harper!
