O HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR THE PICC LINE.........................Our prayers were answered above and beyond once again. Harper doesn't even need a PICC line!!!!! We got here this morning and the doctor had to do one test on her and then he said we could take her completely off the respirator and start feeding today!!!!! PRAISE MY JESUS!!!! The nurses were cheering - I was crying - it was just a great day! We didn't expect this for several more days!

They gave her a little dog that looked like Dawson and she loved it!
Daddy's little girl
They warned us she might not want to eat. Bigger babies who have been through what she has been through normally don't take to eating. NOT our girl - she's a Stamps. She gulped down her first bottle and was looking for more. So we gave her a 2nd one and that was gone in minutes!
We had a fan club! Our nurses are SO great! I'm going to miss them when we leave.

We've got a good eater on our hands!


We call her our "chunky monkey" and we just ADORE her!
She had her 2nd feeding at 5 and we are waiting to feed her again at 8. Tomorrow we start nursing!!!!

I prayed for this child and God has given me what I asked of Him
I Samuel 1:27

We recieved so many cards and wonderful packages and gifts today. If you have sent us something to the hospital - we are getting it! I'm working on thank yous but I want you to know we are SO appreciative of every thought and gift! The love we have been shown by the body of Christ is overwhelming!!!

P.S. I just wanted to say that I have not forgotten the prayer blog. I have been very distracted the last two weeks but I will begin updating again soon. Most likely when I get home - which we are thinking could possibly be the FIRST HALF of next week (if things continue so well!) Oh we can't wait to take Harper home!!!!!!!

She is absolutely beautiful. Last week I wrote to you that we had gone through some thing similar (although not as long a hospital stay) as you are with our third daughter. My "baby" turns 11 next Tuesday, and we've certainly put that ordeal behind us . . . except to occasionally still stop and praise God for watching over her and for making her well.

Oh happy day. It's so great seeing you both getting to hold that precious girl. When you start nursing, don't give up. I remember when I finally got to nurse my boys it was hard but I stuck with it and they got it. Don't get discouraged and I'll be praying for you. I have a feeling she's going to do great. It looks like you'll have Miss Harper home for valentines day, oh what a love day that will be.

What an amazing God we serve! She is absolutely beautiful... and what a blessing it is to have been able to be a part of praying for your family and to see the Lord move in such a powerful way. You must be overjoyed to finally be able to hold your baby girl in your arms. I'm sure after having gone through this you appreciate her that much more! so much progress. this is fantastic. I cried when I saw all the nurses watching you feed her. So special...you could see the joy and happiness on there faces. wonderful nurses.

That is wonderful news! I found your blog through a prayer request, and started crying when I read it. We literally went through the exact situation with our son Drew, who is now 3. Reading your posts brought me back to the rollercoaster of varying oxygen levels, PICC lines, and constant bells and alarms sounding from all the wires hooked up to my baby. Trust that you will be able to look back on these days while embracing your gorgeous baby. We will continue to pray for your family and for Harper's healing.

Kelly, she's GORGEOUS! She is such a beautiful, beautiful baby! She looks so much different without all of those tubes and stuff. I have been praying like a madwoman for Harper! God is great... Oh my goodness!! She is a total doll! I live in KY and have been without power since Tuesday from the winter storm. We just got out power back like 10 minutes ago. The first thing I did was get my laptop to check on "little" Harper, haha! I am so excited to see that you all were finally able to hold and feed your girl. What an answer to the many prayers for her!

P.S.- I nearly went nuts the past few days without power because I couldn't check your blog for updates!! : ) But what a great post to return to!

I have not commented in several days, but I want you to know we are still praying for Harper. She is such a strong baby girl and I am so thrilled in her improvement. I know you were elated to get to hold her.... I can only imagine how hard it has been to not be able to swaddle your little one. SHE IS SO SUPER CUTE... the headband is just adorable!
