O HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR THE PICC LINE.........................Our prayers were answered above and beyond once again. Harper doesn't even need a PICC line!!!!! We got here this morning and the doctor had to do one test on her and then he said we could take her completely off the respirator and start feeding today!!!!! PRAISE MY JESUS!!!! The nurses were cheering - I was crying - it was just a great day! We didn't expect this for several more days!

(Get ready for a long stream of pictures from our wonderful day!)

Could I smile ANY bigger?????
They gave her a little dog that looked like Dawson and she loved it!
Daddy's little girl
They warned us she might not want to eat. Bigger babies who have been through what she has been through normally don't take to eating. NOT our girl - she's a Stamps. She gulped down her first bottle and was looking for more. So we gave her a 2nd one and that was gone in minutes!
We had a fan club! Our nurses are SO great! I'm going to miss them when we leave.
Harper just STARED at her daddy.
Daddy fed bottle #2
Somebody loves her flower head band
She's already such a happy, content baby.
I've changed a few diapers today
We've got a good eater on our hands!

We call her our "chunky monkey" and we just ADORE her!
She had her 2nd feeding at 5 and we are waiting to feed her again at 8. Tomorrow we start nursing!!!!

I prayed for this child and God has given me what I asked of Him
I Samuel 1:27

We recieved so many cards and wonderful packages and gifts today. If you have sent us something to the hospital - we are getting it! I'm working on thank yous but I want you to know we are SO appreciative of every thought and gift! The love we have been shown by the body of Christ is overwhelming!!!

P.S. I just wanted to say that I have not forgotten the prayer blog. I have been very distracted the last two weeks but I will begin updating again soon. Most likely when I get home - which we are thinking could possibly be the FIRST HALF of next week (if things continue so well!) Oh we can't wait to take Harper home!!!!!!!

I'm sitting here crying seeing how well she is doing, now she's eating, with those headbands and hats, and her eyes open!! Thank you Jesus!!

I can't wait for you to bring her home too. Home -- where babies belong.

Blessings to you!

Your baby girl is beautiful. And I just have to say that is absolutely the most adorable headband ever.

My second daughter was a big girl and I think she ate non stop for the first 5 months of her life. It certainly felt like it anyway! She is a tiny petite 18 year old now but boy could she eat when she was a newborn.

So happy you finally get to hold her. Enjoy every minute...Joyce

Kelly, I just sat here and cried tears of happiness and said THANK YOU LORD over and over. I am SO happy for you all and so thankful for what GOD has done in Harper's life! He is the only explanation to this all. I thank Him for working and for you being willing to be used in this trial, however He saw fit. I know you didn't want to start out with her like this, but I am fully aware through our own situation that God uses the unexpected and EQUIPS THE CALLED as I heard on the radio the other day. Kelly,

I was just shown your blog by a friend. I am expecting a girl on May 17th and reading about your journey with Harper has been such a testimony to me. I thank and praise God that He is in control and I'm so joyful to hear about Harper's improvement. I will jump on the bandwagon and begin praying for even more healing. I have no doubt that God is using you, Harper and your family to reach others and I truly admire you for being so strong and having so much faith in Christ. I'm afraid I couldn't be as strong if I were in your situation. Thank you for sharing your story and you, your husband and most definitely precious little Harper will be in my prayers. I look forward reading about how God is going to work in all of your lives in the days to come.
