31 weeks

I'm 31 weeks today!!!!
I only have 63 days left and that is if Harper decides to stay in there up until my due date. I'm starting to get stressed about having everything ready - I keep thinking - "what if she shows up early? Should I pack my bag and get the car seat put in the car just in case?"
I have both my showers this weekend so I'm so excited and nervous and I think we'll be close to ready after that!
I won't post a picture until tomorrow because I'm helping serve at the Primetimers (over 55 crowd) thanksgiving dinner tonight at church. They are my favorite group (besides maybe my Sunday School class and the youth and the little kids and the choir - okay, okay - everyone is my favorite). I'm on the hostess committee at church and I love it so much. This is my third year and I recently got asked to be on a different committee so I'll probably have to give it up soon but I'm still volunteering to help as often as possible!!
How CUTE is this going to be on my chocolate brown walls???????? Kim did a great job - I am thrilled! I have the perfect spot picked out for it! It matches my bedding just perfectly!
My sweet lifelong friend, Jamie, is painting me a wonderful canvas to go on a big wall in the nursery. She e-mailed me sketches this weekend and it's going to be just perfect too! I can't wait to share that with ya'll. I'm so lucky to know so many talented people!! The nursery is just my Happy Place!

That really IS so precious!!! I can't wait to see how your nursery is coming along. Have fun hostessing. Can't wait to see what all you are blessed with at the showers!

I know what you mean about the nursery being your "happy place." I used to sit in there the last month of my pregnancy, in the dark, and boo-hoo my eyes out because I wanted to hold my baby so badly! I never thought I'd have it!!!! Treasure these last couple months of having sweet Harper in there... I know you will! ;o)

I can't wait to see the nursery all completed!

Love the canvas too! Can't wait to see the finished nursery and the posts from the showers this weekend!! Have a great Monday!!

Your comment about your nursery being your Happy Place brought a tear to my eye. I remember almost 35 years ago when I would go in your nursery and just stand, thinking and longing for you!

Of course, we lived in a little apt. and your nursery didn't even come close to what Harper's nursery looks like BUT it was put together with the very best we could afford at that time and with lots and lots of love!

Harper's nursery will be filled with love and indeed, a very HAPPY PLACE! Love you, MOM

go ahead and get things packed NOW for the Hospital. My little guy came 5 weeks early and it was 3am when my water broke. we had just a few things to get together but we had the carseat in the car already and clothes packed for me. hubby can go home to get his belongings! enjoy the last few days/ weeks for your pregnancy!!! They fly by!

Isn't it amazing to think about all the memories you will make in that precious room? Think of all the special things that will happen there...lullabies, kisses, walking, talking, tea parties, and more!! I can BET that room will be Harper's Happy Place too! She can just look around that room and know how much she is LOVED. Can't wait to "meet" her Kelly!
God Bless!

I love the painting with Harper's name on it, it is beautiful! And I know what u mean about wanting to get every thing together, it will come together before you know it! I have an 8 month old and I was so worried I wouldnt get it all together, but it all worked out! And I am 12 weeks pregnant now and really stressed about getting stuff together with an 8 month old! :)

I would have a bag packed and the carseat ready to roll, just in case. I had the carseat ready, but no bag packed for me or Keira when she came 6 weeks early. I thought I had plenty of time. My hubby just ran around getting everything we needed after she was born. =)

Don't stress though!! I really think that all the stress I had (student teaching) was what made my blood pressure shoot through the roof, then resulting in the emergency c-section.

I love the things for her room... too cute!!

Oh my--Harper's name canvas is EXTREMELY precious! I feel sure I can't measure up to that cuteness with my painting, but I promise to do my best. It's such a fun one to work on--I wish I didn't have to cook this afternoon so I could paint! I started on it last night and didn't want to go to bed. Have fun with the dinner--they are very lucky to have you on their hostess committee!

I just posted some better pictures on the blog!!! I touched up a few more spots! I can't wait for you to get it! Be looking for it - fedex - by the end of the week!

As far as packing - after 4 kids - I NEVER had a thing pack till it was time to go or after I got there!!

First one - I went to weekly check up and they said time to go to the hospital {Lonnie had to pack!}

Second time - water broke at home {it was laundry day and I had NO clean underwear!} Had 2 babies less than 2 hours later {Lonnie had to pack - and do laundry!}

Third time - scheduled! Packed barely anything! After Em was born, Lonnie went home to get everything I forgot {so technically - he packed again!}

haha - I'm never ready for anything!

ADORABLE! I saw the preview that she had on her site and I just love the work that she does. One of these days I am going to have to sit down and decide what I would like done for my son and order it...she really does an awesome job and manages to do it with 4 kids...she needs some sort of prize for that.

I love what Kim said! No matter what you may or may not pack, you can always run and get it! Vance was born in February and we had our bag in trunk and car seat in by mid-January ;)! Just do what makes you feel best!

LOVE THAT PAINTING!

I love that the nursery is your happy place...it's no wonder...everything you have is so wonderful!!!! When I was pregnant with Connor, I would go into the nursery every night and read to him and pray for him!!! Sweet times! Just take it all in....it goes too fast!

If it makes you feel better, get ready early! Everyone in my birth class went over their due date, so I expected too as well. When my daughter came, only three days early, I was NOT prepared. We had her room ready but I didn't have a bag packed or seat installed. My husband had to do those things while I was in labor. Needless to say, he forgot some things. Thankfully they weren't essentials and it all turned out ok. Blessings to you in the final stretch!

I don't see any reason not to pack your bag and install your car seat - especially if it makes you feel more comfortable!

question...Have you thought about hosting a holiday swap? So many people read your blog and I thought that would be something fun to do. Just a thought...I would do it but not as many people read mine.

Can you believe how fast it's all going and that in no time our babies will be here!? It's going so fast!! I nearly dropped to the floor when I saw I only have 60 more days to go today. I can totally relate to the feeling that there is so much to do. Last week was my overwhelming breakdown; I'm better this week. :) Mostly because my parents came this weekend and we finished the nursery! I'm SO excited about it and love sitting in there and just staring. It is a happy place! :)

I felt just like Angie when I started reading... but we'll allow you this delay, just once.

Love the "Harper" sign.

Can I ask where you are registered??

The canvas is a perfect touch. Oh, my Nursery is still my happy place and Emma is 16 months old. I could go in there and stay for hours. Harper is going to be here in no time ~ 62 days!

Funny you posted about that because I was on the computer Saturday and I ran in the bedroom and told the HOTY, uh Gavin is going to be here in 125 days and I don't feel ready. Looking back, I felt that away about Emma too and it all worked out just fine.

You are going to be the best Mommy and I am confident you will have every little detail in order when the times comes.

Have a great stress free week!

Love the painting. I saw this on the Endless Possibilities yesterday and knew it was for Harper!

The answer is YES...you should pack early and put the carseat in the car. I have had three friends have their babies about a month early and several others have had their kiddos early, too. As soon as I say, our babies will come after their due date. But, I keep telling Flint, we have to be prepared early just in case!

I LOVE the painting. It is precious!!! I can't wait to see it up in the room!
