Congratulation to my friend, Jenna. She is due just a few days after me and found out yesterday she is having a BOY! Brayden Paul. He is on the approved list of boyfriends for Harper! She has about 4 boys on that list so far. She is not allowed to date until she is 25 but when that 25th birthday rolls around -she'll have some good pickings!
People keep asking me if I'm having cravings. Just one. Taco Bell. ha ha ha! This isn't really helping one of the main side effects of pregnancy - if anyone knows what I'm talking about - can I get an Amen? Last night I had a hair appointment so I got taco bell on the way about 4:30 and then when I called Scott on the way home to see if he wanted me to pick him up food - he asked me what I had had and said that sounded good. Well , I couldn't pass up a second round. So the next thing I know - I'm eating Taco bell at 8 at night. I feel like I'm back in college. Taco Bell and the OBU cafeteria were responsible for about 20 extra pounds I packed on back then. I have a feeling I'm starting to make up for all the weight I didn't gain at the beginning.
Word in the office is that we are going for a team lunch at 11:30 to P.F. Changs (my other craving) and then having the afternoon off. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! This is turning into a great weekend!

I think all pregnant women crave Taco Bell. They must have something special in there that babies need!
I remember when my mom was pregnant with my sister I was 6 and it was the summer time. Well, she discovered that the Taco Bell in our neighborhood opened at 9am. We opened Taco Bell and 9am for her morning snack, we had lunch there, afternoon snack, dinner and evening snack. They knew up pretty well by the time my mom had my sister. My mom's boss used to joke that she was going to come out Mexican!
I just caught up on all of my favorite blogs (Fay has been a disaster here in FL) and I see you are having a girl! Congratulations! They are so much fun! I have to know where you got that beautiful dress, the one with black and white polka dots on the shoulders! I need 4! :)
Oh Kelly...that is sick! Taco Bell?!?! P.F. Changs I understand! Have a great afternoon off!
Taco Bell....yum? My kids could eat that stuff everyday. So glad that your feeling better and want to eat. I know that when I was hungry is when I felt yucky. Hope you do get the afternoon off toady! Yeah for you and congrats to your friend and her little boy for Harper, smiles!
People always asked me what I was craving, I also craved Taco Bell. It was so weird and I could not explain it, the closest taco bell is 30 minutes away, I remember making many runs to Taco Bell!! Thanks for sharing!
Have a blessed weekend!
Lauren
Ohhh, I craved Taco Bell too! However, I have not had it since I gave birth. I think I had enough in those 9 months to last me the rest of my life.
I craved watermelon, slurpees, and crinkle french fries! ROFL I remember sending Craig out many nights to the local pizza place that had crinkle french fries........no straight fries thank you very much! ROFL
BTW, where did you get all your embroidered bibs? I'm thinking of getting a machine to do this. My sister in law just found out she is pregnant so I want to make some cute stuff for her. I've already made it to Kohl's and bought several outfits. LOL She's due in April!
YUMMM YUMMM YUMMMMMMM!!!
I heart Taco Bell ~~ and I'm NOT pregnant!!!
Have a great weekend,
Dawn
Taco Bell yes girl Amen. To both reasons. The Taco Bell by our house during pregnancy was also 1/2 Pizza Hut. Could life get any better?!
I craved Mexican food too, any kind that was handy. We need to add David to the approved boyfriend list, he is an older man (by about 18 months) but at 25, it won't matter anymore :)
Kelly,
Enjoy all of this!!! I love PF Changs as well and I am not pregnant. :-) Hope you continue to have a very blessed and wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Melissa
YOur parents are sooo cute! I just read their blogs about their new granddaughter coming. I got chills it was so sweet! I craved taco bell and actually it sounds good right now. Ice cream has been something I am craving lately as I wait for miss calleigh to get here. anyday now!
oh and i think you should put some pink in her room too!
and i can't figure out the little dresses from the previous post. they are so cute with the ribbons..i want to see more of them to get an idea about how they are made?! super cute clothes! glad you can put all your stash to use!! she is going to have more clothes than she will know what to do with by the time she gets here. i have already run out of hangers for ours! you should see her shoe collection already!
I also had a Taco Bell craving when I was pregnant. The only problem is that I'm still craving it all the time now that I'm NOT pregnant. Doesn't help with my goal to lose the baby weight. :)
Enjoy P.F. Changs and an afternoon off from work! Sounds like the beginning to a fantastic weekend!!!
Ha! I craved crunchwrap supremems from THE BELL when I was prego...something about pregos and taco bell! I also wanted to dip it in chocolate?! Weird!
Congratulations to your friend!
Taco Bell--that's so funny! It would have to be a MAJOR craving to convince me to eat there--yikes! ha! I remember when I was early pregnant with Alexee I went in the kitchen and made a salmon, relish and mayo roll-up in a flour tortilla. It sounded delicious at the time, but I can't stand to think about it now. P.F. Changs, however.....WISH I WAS ON YOUR TEAM for lunch!
Aww Kelly! You're so sweet!
All Taco Bell cravings, I blame on OBU!!!!! You would think as much as I ate it at Ouachita, I would never want it again, but who can resist a chili cheese burrito!!!
I am not pregnant and I crave PF Changs ALL the time!!!
That's so great, P.F. Changs is good stuff! I haven't had Taco Bell in forever...but for some reason I was really craving crunchy tacos on Sunday so Hayden and I went to Q'Doba! It must be common!
You better add Brody to that list, especially since Harper is going to dress so cute!!
The reason you ate so much Taco Bell in college is because that's about the only place to eat in Arkadelphia besides the OBU cafeteria!:) I think my roomie and I paid their electric bill!
Funny enough I've been craving Taco Bueno...if only they had it here!!! sniff. sniff.
I should mail you some free taco cards and free fruitista freeze coupons! You know, we do the advertising for the Taco Bells in your area! Send me an email with your address and I will send you some.
PS. I have been craving TB too since I have been pregnant! :)
I craved Taco Bell so badly when I was pregnant with my second daughter that I would have my husband buy BAGS of bean and cheese burritos and then freeze them for me. I successfully limited myself to something like 2 a day, but just knowing I could grab one 24/7 brought a happiness that was indescribable.
Best wishes for a healthy second half of your pregnancy!
Kelly...so for the past 3 hours I have been reading your blog and getting to know you....you seem like an amazing person and so fun!! I actually work on an OB unit and you would be the type of patient that would be such a joy and so much fun to take care of. Congratulations on little Harper Brown and God Bless!
-Allison from Indiana
Their tostadas & bean burritos make my heart sing!
Congrats to your friend on her little boy - love the name....I had my very own Brayden Jackson almost 11 years ago. (I can't believe that - 11 yrs. I'm gettin' old.)
I'm laughing about TB runs..wonder if you'll hate it after H's born? PF Changs is a fav in our house too! Hope you have a very fun visit @ J's today, wish I was spending the afternoon with you both.
Kelly,
How funny! When I was pregnant with the twins, it seemed like all I wanted to eat was Mexican Food. I hope that you enjoyed your lunch at P.F. Changs and your afternoon off. Have a wonderful weekend!
Jennifer
I think it's mexican in general. I craved Taco Bueno and when I was pregnant with our first son we would stop after childbirth classes for our late night snack. What memories especially since that baby will turn 20 in December.
Hi there, I found your blog from www.myoverstreetfamily.blogspot.com; and I have enjoyed reading it!! Congratulations on the baby girl - Harper is a beautiful name! I too had one craving when I was pregnant - Burger King. I couldn't drive by one without my mouth watering and the one time my husband drove by one without stopping was NOT GOOD! By the way, I love all of the baby clothes!
Oh, yeah! I was ALL about some Taco Bell when I was pregnant...and still am. ; )
I craved those pizzas...just with beans though, no meat.
I used the pregnancy card for everything I ate! It was awesome.
Hi Kelly!
I stumbled across your blog and have been a "lurker".... But had to delurk to say....
Congratulations on your sweet baby girl!
When I was pregnant with my first child, I skipped my childbirth classes & made my husband take me to Taco Bell (for 3 of the 6 classes)! My poor husband wasn't sure what to do.... he felt we needed the classes, but I think was afraid to say "no" to his pregnant wife with major cravings. And, we did just fine in the delievery room!!! :)
Praying for you to have an enjoyable pregnancy...
Enjoy the cravings too!
Taco Bell and Walt's were the sources of my weight gain as well! We were so sick of Taco Bell after four years that my husband refuses to eat there. I can take it or leave it but never crave it. That's 11 years of NOT eating at Taco Bell to make up for 4 years of constantly eating there.
that's funny...jc and I are planning a midnight run to taco bell when we go to homecoming this fall. :)
you are looking so beautiful...you have that glow!
Yummy...Taco Bell!
I always craved White Cheddar Popcorn ;)!
Amen to Taco Bell. My husband is usually disgusted by my cravings for it. If we had a PF Chang close I know it would be my other favorite! Oh and I second the crinkle french fry craving that one of your commenters said! I looooove those things! Congrats on your girl! That's soooo exciting! I love all the cute dresses and pink stuff. I'm a girly girl too, and am trying to reprogram myself for blue!
