Rainy Tuesday

Well .......I just have a list of things tonight:

1. I'm on the lookout for Noah and the Ark because we are just flooding here in AR tonight. It has been raining cats and dogs since yesterday. I'm ready for a little sunshine.

2. Are you watching American Idol tonight? My favorites keep changing slightly but right now I would rank it David Cook, Brooke White, and David Archuletta in that order. I'm not loving the songs tonight. I'm just not a Beatles fan so two weeks in a row has just about worn me out. I'm ready to see what they will sing next week.

3. GIRLS - what are you wearing for Easter???? I'm in the mood for a new Easter dress so I plan to do a little looking tomorrow at lunch and maybe Thursday and Friday too. They keep changing the forecast so I don't know how the weather will be. I'd like something "springy" but it's supposed to be maybe 50 degrees. So I'll probably be wearing boots and tights with whatever dress I get. I found these below I kind of like:

I like the sleeves on this dress (Ann Taylor Loft)
I kind of like this - I like the color and the style - not sure how it would look on (Banana Republic)
I triple love this. I'm thinking I could wear a black shirt underneath with black tights for now and then summer just add sandals? (BR also)
(I'm ALWAYS wearing black so I wanted to try and add some color. I feel weird wearing black on Easter - even if it is cold. We are celebrating not mourning - Jesus isn't dead!!!)
So are you getting an easter dress or what do you think you will wear? I'm excited about Easter because we have two services and my mom is coming to stay with us and go to church (my dad is going on a mission trip to Nicarauga) and then Laurie and Steve and Emily are all coming to eat lunch with us. I'm excited about cooking Easter lunch!!

4. SOOOO many of you took the time to send me such wonderful e-mails telling me about your experiences with infertility and/or in vitro. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I was swamped today at work but I plan to reply to each of you because you were so helpful and caring and I can not tell you what you sharing with me means.

Ya know...I am kinda bored with the American Idol Beatles weeks too! I LOVE that first dress!! Where's it from - I must know!! Here in Colorado , the weather is so tricky too - I like to grab a cute cardigan or shrug to wear over my dress. Although I don't have one yet! Ah! It's this weekend! And Allikaye doesn't have one either! Guess I'll have to go shopping, shucks! Ha! Let me know where those dresses are from!! Stay dry out there! oxoxo

I bought my Easter dress last weekend. I went for a black and white dress. I really like the black and white one you posted. Where can you get that one?

As for AI, I am a huge Beatles fan, and I can't handle the contestant's versions of the songs. So, I'm with you, I can't wait until next to hear something new.

Love all your dress choices. What am I wearing for Easter? Well, I haven't even thought about it but by golly the girls have precious matching baby blue smocked bishop dresses. I'm sure I'll drag something out of my closet.

I haven't been watching AI. For some reason, something is always happening during that time frame. I need TIVO! I need TIVO! I repeat: I need TIVO! HA!

I love all of those dresses but I've been looking at that top dress since it has come out! I have a hard time straying from black or blue in my wardrobe! I am wearing the blue J Crew dress I posted a few weeks ago (this is of course thinking that the weather says warm in Houston)! I have been saving it for Easter and can't wait to wear it!
You'll have to post which dress you pick!

Raining here too. Only today though. :) I'm just scared of tornadoes! I'm scared to go to sleep. :0 Hope you have some sunshine tomorrow.
I love all of your Easter dress choices. I am in the mood for an Easter dress this year too, but haven't had time to look. I am not a dress girl at all though, but you have inspired me lately to ATLEAST look at dresses hanging on the rack. Let us know which one you pick and where they are all from. :)

LOVE ALL THOSE DRESSES!? Would you please be a personal shopper for me? I like all the things you choose, but I don't really like to shop for clothes for myself. I don't know what I'll do for Easter!?!? We're going out of town for a few days so unless I find something on our trip, I'm out of shopping time!? Oh well. Probably will need my long black winter coat anyway--ha!! :) Hoping for sunshine tomorrow! Your Easter plans sound great.

I like the first one...

I have got to find a dress! I'm sure this weekend I will be in a frenzy trying to find something. My husband got a new suit, it's grey and that is what is throwing me off with my obsessive need to color coordinate! I'm thinking lavendar or pink would go nicely, now I just have to find something. I love all the dresses you showed...very cute!

We are a little behind on our t.v. watching. Missed AI tonight, but thank goodness for TiVo!

Your Easter plans sound fun! I wish I could get as excited about cooking as you are!! I do like cooking for a crowd though. Much more fun than cooking for two!

I'm going Thursday to look for a new dress. I've had Jancie's for weeks. It's supposed to be 70 degrees here in MS, so that's just right.
I'm tired of the Beatles, too. I don't have a favorite right now, but David A. is the most consistent. I like David C., too. I figure that a guy will win again this year.

I love your dress choices - particularly the green one! Where is it from? I tried the first dress on at Ann Taylor Loft and it fit well, it just wasn't quite what I was looking for. I need a specific dress to wear with a specific pair of shoes.

You and I are like AI soul mates - we think the same things! I hear ya on getting tired of the Beatles...I mean - half those songs I had never heard before!

Easter dress-- I love the black & white one. But then again it's Easter -go for color. I think in VB it's going to be like 60, so I need to go shopping probably today after lunch to find something. Wish it was like 70 this weekend! That would be nice.

Have a good rest of the week!!

I haven't decided on what I am doing with my Easter attire. I really like the green one on the bottom that you had posted. Where is that one from?

I love the very first one.
I thought I would wear a purple sweater and black skirt. Bryan was going to wear his suit and lavender tie. But now....I'm thinking I may have to find me something else. I'm beginning to think we may look like we are going to a funeral.
You've inspried us girl!!!

p.s. I thought of you. We ate at Mimi's

Ahh the rain. I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to stop. I love the last dress. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I wish that I could pull that color off. I got my dress at TJ MAXX. Then just got Jerrame a new polo, I am thinking it might be time for some pictures.

I agree with AI last night...move on from the Beatles!! But I do think David Cook did a great job.
I love all the Easter dresses you posted and would love to know where you got them! I need one so bad but haven't been able to find one that I love!

Wow, I can't imagine not liking the Beatles. I think they are amazing and I wouldn't care if they sang Beatles songs from here on out!!
I do NOT like Brooke for some reason...she bugs me and I don't think she has a great voice, but I guess I'm in the minority. My favorites are David A., David C., and Carly.

Girl, I could not agree with you more about American Idol! What were they thinking...doing Beetles two weeks in a row! Even Simon admitted some point last night that it was a bad idea!!

Haven't decided about what to wear for Easter either! Any of those dresses you posted would be cute!!

I love the first dress Kelly!!! That could go year round! I'm a fan of the sleeves as well. Even if it was going to be warm this Easter, this body hasn't seen the sun and will need to be covered up!

I like the first on the best...then the third one!

Those dresses are so cute! Please tell us where you found them! I have no idea what I'm going to wear for Easter. It's not like I'm going to pull out strappy sandals if it's cool that day. I think I'll do what you are doing and try to look around at lunch tomorrow. I have to agree with you on American Idol...bad idea to do the Beatles again. Can't wait to see what you get for Easter and please post where those dresses are from...or better yet...post where you like to buy a lot of your dresses!

The Proctors said...

Ah...just realized that you put where the dresses are from! Thank you!! Can't wait to see what you get!

I love the black and white dress from Ann Taylor. I haven't decided what in the world I'm wearing yet!

i love the middle dress! so cute!! rain is no fun if you ask me! I got a black and white dress, but am afraid I will get too cold on sunday. we will have to see how i feel. I am also feeling very white right now.

Unknown said...

Um, so you should TOTALLY get that bright green dress! I like your idea of tights with it too - I love anything that you can wear in warm and cooler temperatures! As for me, I'm wearing black pants and a kelly green jacket since it's going to be cooler! Whatever you wear, you are going to look SO CUTE!

Laurie said...

American Idol was not too good last night. They need to get off the Beatles kick. Like all the dresses!

Serah said...

All those dresses are really cute. My Easter dress came from Ann Taylor Loft, too, but it's all black and white.

It's pouring the rain as I type. Looks like a soggy trip to church tonight.

Have a great day!

I need an Easter dress too! I've looked a couple places like Kohls and BR, and Gap...but I can't find anything yet! I may just end up wearing the dress I wore last year...gasp! Good luck!

You would look great in any of those dresses! I'm going to try to find something this weekend, too.

I love the last dress! The bright green color is so cheerful. I can't wait for Easter. I just wish it was going to be warmer.

How funny!!!! I JUST looked at this post and saw a picture of the dress I bought TODAY at Ann Taylor Loft.

Great minds think alike! :)
