Little bits of something

Well - I tried to find an Easter dress but then I finally just decided to give up. It's going to be 45 degrees and rainy so there would be no point in wearing something "springy". I would rather save my money and get some cute summer dresses later on. Besides- I'm wearing a choir robe during church so it's not like anyone will even know if I have a new dress on or not. :-)

I thought I would share a couple of little somethings with you:
For my brother's birthday last week - his fiancee, my parents and Scott and I all chipped in to buy him an I phone. He sent me a thank you card today and I was laughing because he drew a picture of him reading my blog on his Iphone. Hilarious!

Two weeks ago - I saw something similar to this on a blog and knew I needed it. So I found this little onesie on e-bay and bought it for $2. That was when I was feeling very optimistic that I was pregnant. It came today so I'll put it in my secret baby closet (because yes I have one) and hopefully one day I'll get to use it. (and yes - it's pink. I seem to only buy pink things). A truer message could never be found! :-)

I'm not doing too great on my bracket. But that's okay - I'm going to go watch "Lost" soon (isn't it getting SO good!) And tomorrow I get Good Friday off and I'm so excited. I have lots of work planned for myself. Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Oh I love that onesie! I wish I had had one for Lowrey b/c she certainly was worth the wait. Tonight she has been insufferable and I needed to read your blog and remind myself of what a blessing from God she is. But that's a whole other story and if I ever have time, a whole other blog's worth of stuff!
I'm with you on no Easter dress. I may even wear black. I can't even bring myself to paint my toenails...I just know I won't need to worry with it. Wish you were here to enjoy the NCAA tournament games with Lance...he has tickets to the games at Alltel. You would think it was the tickets to heaven or something!

I love that you have a secret baby closet. (I have a secret wedding file...hopefully it'll get some use one day!) And yes, LOST is getting SOOOOOOOO good!

So, we have that exact onesie someone gave to us for our sweet girl! Wow...isn't it so funny how (as you mentioned) we are on totally different ends of the spectrum but in the same boat (the waiting game) as well! God has a special way in the way he works! I'll be working around the house lots this weekend too and going to Lena's b-day party tomorrow for lunch!

I would love to see your secret baby closet. I bet you have some beautiful things in there! I love the message on the onesie. I'm doing pretty good on my bracket so far. It's early though, so we'll see. Right now I'm 8/8. I usually do this though...start strong and fizzle out. :)

I had a party last weekend and I gave up on buying a new dress too! I couldn't find anything so I just wore something old and it was fine!

I love the onesie! Your future child will be worth the wait! I had a secret wedding file long before I was ever old enough to get married. I liked having things tucked away.

I hope you have a Happy Easter!

Miss Allikaye had that onesie when she was tiny! I'm so glad you got it! We used to joke that she was worth the WEIGHT too!!
I also gave up on a dress - just going with a cute skirt! Have a good Good Friday!!

Sweet onesie! I had a huge stash of "girl" baby things-clothing, fabric for the nursery, wall decor.... I cried every time I looked at it so had my mom take it to her house. I know you must have some really pretty things and will get to use them one day.

I spent so much on the boys new clothes for Easter that I am having to wear something old. Not fair, right?! :) But I'm with you, what's the point when you will have a coat on probably anyway.

Have a great weekend and Happy Easter!

I am loving that card from your brother! How cute! And he even made the "K"s look like the font in your header...too funny!
I haven't given up yet on the dress hunt, but I am wondering how much effort I want to put into this because I will be in a choir robe for all the services too. We shall see!
I LOVE the onesie! So true. I need to find one of those too. I am definitely drawn to the pink things as well! I KNOW that you will get to use that closet one day! I just know it!
Enjoy your day off tomorrow!

Love that onesie!! And yes, the Easter dress shopping was pretty depressing for me as well. I don't EVEN know what I am going to wear! But, my word, it's supposed to be 45 degrees... I'm thinking a parka and snow boots sounds pretty nice! What is going on?!?! It is supposed to be SPRING!

Don't buy too much for that secret baby closet because you haven't seen MY secret closet yet......I could open a small baby store on my own!!

I'd like to peek in the secret baby closet--I'm sure it's all precious. Can't wait to see it on your sweet baby (babies) one day. I'm thinking you should start stocking up on some blue stuff too though! :)

I liked C's iphone drawing--so funny. Reminded me of a lot of cartoons he did during church a long time ago--I think I have a stack of old bulletins somewhere in Flippin. L is so excited because he finally decided to order an iphone last week--it should be here tomorrow.

I bought a new black dress at Gap last week...would it be bad to wear black on Easter?

That picture from your brother is hilarious. I love it!

And I also love the onesie. It is precious. It will describe your baby girl who wears it one day perfectly.

Hope you have a great weekend!

What a joy it will be when you open up that secret baby closet and see your dreams become a reality! Believe me, she (and he?) WILL be worth the wait. You won't even be able to remember life before them and it will be so fulfilling. You may end up like me and be scrambling for stuff because it happens so fast. I loved your mom's comment, I'll bet her "boutique" and yours are so cute.

I am jealous of such a fun brother-

Love the onesie! And yes, 'she' will be worth the wait. Still praying for you.

What a neat sister to get your brother an Iphone. My brother would be so jealous :)

The onesie is precious, and I had a secret baby closet, too. I was so happy to be able to put those sweet things to use!

Prayed for you this morning... you were just on my mind. Hope you have a blessed weekend!

I love that onesie, we have the t-shirt in red... I love to red and seem to think that our child will also.

I have only lost one game on the bracket, the Kent State upset hurt me.

Also we have the same counter tops... I wanted to tell you that in a different post but waited.

I am not sure how many blogs I visited before running across yours, but I am quite sure I don't know you. I just had to comment on what a sweet, fun, and inspirational blog you have created! As a teacher, I have been off for Spring Break this week and have visited your blog during the week. Keep the secret baby closet stash, you can never have enough baby clothes, or well any type of clothes!
