Waitressing
I've always had a secret dream of one day being a waitress. I don't know why I never took it up at Pizza hut in high school or at the "sizzler" at OBU when it would have been a good time. The dream is pretty much dead because I don't see that happening unless Scott or I lose our jobs and we get destitute. But I always thought it would be fun and that I would have been good at it.
Well - I finally sort of fulfilled my dream on Friday night because I worked at a church banquet for ushers and spouses. We had to wear white shirts and black pants and aprons (very waitressy) and go around making sure everyone had plenty of iced tea and clearing plates and pretty much just doing everything but taking orders. I LOVED it. I'll get to do it again in a couple of weeks at a banquet for the graduating seniors of FBC and I can hardly wait. I will remember to wear more comfortable shoes this time. And even though we didn't get tips......they did give us a copy of "my utmost for His highest" and that's probably something I need more than a few dollars anyway. ha!

FRIDAY!
I love Fridays!
Last night we had a fun night. After working out - we went out to eat at Gusano's pizza with 2 other couples and we had so much fun. I laughed so much. Everyone but Scott went to OBU but we were all there at different times. I realized how old I am when I admitted when I was there we didn't have cell phones, e-mail or the internet and no one had their own computers. We just had that computer lab with Lotus 1-2-3 to use. And around my senior year we finally got very primitive e-mail and a few cool people got those huge bag "car" phones. ha!
I have a really hard time realizing I'm 32. In my head - I truly believe I'm 25. I don't mind being in my 30's - but I just don't realize that I'm not still cool and young. ha! (Not that I was ever very cool. Just young.)

Megs
Last summer one of my best friends, Megan, moved to Charlotte, NC after she got married. Her husband has been working for the Carolina Panthers. They got to come back to AR this weekend to see her family and she made it up here today and I got to see her for a few hours. It didn't seem like it had been almost a year since I'd seen her. It felt like no time had past. My friends Laurie, Hillary and I all got to spend some time with her and it was so nice being all together again. We've been in each others weddings in the past couple of years and have taken trips to the beach and NYC. Hopefully one day soon we'll all get to go on a girl's trip again. There is nothing better than spending time with your friends shopping or laying on the beach and just laughing and talking (and eating).
I have the best friends!
Here are some pics of us from Megan's wedding, Laurie's wedding and today. (We added one more girl to the group - but she doesn't look to happy about it.) ha!

Pretty girls
Happy Easter!
Today we had a good Easter service. We went to the early service and then came home and got everything ready and then we had 4 couples over for lunch (Sweets, Ormons, Kays and Greens) and 2 very pretty little babies. We had a nice lunch. It's so great to have such nice friends. I sat everything for Easter (pics). I'll have to post later a picture of Emily and Dominique. They looked so cute.
Hope you and your families had a good Easter and remembered why we celebrate and how great it is to have a living God who would send his son to die for our sins and rise again so that we might have eternal life with Him forever!
Good Friday
I'm lucky to get Good Friday off. I spent the entire day (and when I say entire I mean from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. re-doing our landscaping. I had to rake everything out, weed it all, put plastic down and then re-mulch. Plus re-plant a few things and plant some flowers in pots. Scott mowed on Saturday and now our yard looks much better. You can see before and after pictures. I used to think when the weather got nice that I would like to be a landscape artist - I now know I was definetly not cut out for any kind of manual labor. I could barely move on Saturday. I'm happy with my office job! :-)

Magnolia
We went to Magnolia this weekend to visit my in-laws. We had a good visit. We didn't get there till about midnight on Friday night. Saturday we ate a big breakfast that my Father-in-law cooked for us. Then it didn't seem like too long after that - we ate a huge lunch. It was such a pretty day and they just built a nice deck on their house and they have all these flowers planted and we sat outside a lot of the day and just enjoyed the beautiful spring weather. Sat night we went to the Rails to eat. It was VERY good. Good catfish! Then we went to see Scott's cousin's new house. Stephen and Amy just built a big log cabin. It's very nice. We had planned to leave early that morning and come home and Scott woke up with a terrible stomach virus. Bless his heart he was so sick. Around noon he decided he could make it and I thought we were up for a terrible trip home but it wasn't too bad.
Here are some pics of Scott's family and of Dawson playing with his cousin Bandit.

Dawson and friends
Last night was a great night for Dawson. I decided it was time to introduce him to the neighborhood kids. Now that it has warmed up and it's staying light longer and we finally have more neighbors - our street is filled with lots of little kids. So last night I took Dawson out to meet them. I wasn't sure how he would do. The kids circled him up and LOVED him. I had about 10 little kids petting him and calling his name and walking him up and down the street for over an hour. He was in heaven! He just smiled and wagged his tail and ate up all the attention. And the kids loved it too. He's the only dog in the neighborhood. They all wanted to walk him and they want to give him a bath too. After we finally went in - he went to the front door and put his little nose in the door way. It was so pitiful - he wanted to play with his friends some more. ha!
We are going to Magnolia for the weekend to see Scott's family. So I'll give an update with pictures on Sunday. Have a good weekend!

April Fools Day
Today is the birthday of my very best friend, Laurie. We met when we were pledging tri chi 15 years ago and we are still best friends. We lived together for 7 years and were each other's maid of honor. I'm so blessed to have such a good friend. And now she has a beautiful little girl, Emily, who I call my neice. Scott and I ate at red lobster last night with Laurie, Steve and Emily. And I ate breakfast at Cracker barrel with Laurie, Em, and my other good friend Hillary. We love to meet for breakfast.
Happy Birthday Laurie! We've been friends a long time and I know we always will be!
Here are some pics from this morning!
