Frozen and Friends

This was six years ago this week.  I took the girls to see Frozen during Thanksgiving break and it became the love of their lives.  We watched it 1000 times after this.  We saw it 3 times in the theatre (maybe 4).  We owned every Frozen doll and toy known to man.

We met Elsa and Anna.  We wore the costumes.  We had the wigs.  We went to Frozen Birthdays about 10 times.  It's just the movie of their childhood that I will remember the most.

So of COURSE we had to go see Frozen 2 on Saturday.  We got tickets for a Saturday afternoon showing.  Our theatre had about 22 showings that day. ha! We went for an early lunch before the movie.

Hollis ALWAYS wants to sit by me at the movies and be my "movie partner".  I love this about her.

It was a cold day and a good one being at the theatre.

I have seen a lot of people say that loved the 2nd one better and a lot of people saying they didn't like it all.  I'm somewhere in the middle.  It was okay but it was no where near as good as the first.  I didn't think it was "dark" like I've read but I just didn't love it.  I would watch the first one again for the 1002 time but I'm good with once on this one.  But that's just my personal opinion.

Sunday we had church and then we got a surprise visit! Our best friends who moved to Texas about 18 months ago came in town for a couple of days.  Hollis and Kampbell have been best friends since they were babies.  Hollis misses her so much.  So we got K  for the day and to spend the night.

Their little brothers are also close in age and they are just two peas in a pod.  They played together all afternoon and had the BEST time.

WH is already begging for more play dates with Kal and I hate having to tell him he lives in Texas.

I love that these girls love each other and even after a year of not seeing each other - they are still best buddies.

They even showed up with matching PJ's and talked me into face masks.

Some of us moms got together this morning so our kids were all able to hang out.  I love that our kids love each other as much as we do.   I mean - Will Holden and his buddy - is it not the sweetest?

Love these friends and that when we are together it's like no time passes and we get right down to serious talk.  We love to laugh but we also like to talk deep, hard things.  And I trust them with mine.

If you are in San Antonio - there is a fun give away going on with Waters Wisdoms and a Cryotherapy!! You will want to enter.

Waters Wisdoms is a really neat thing where you are sent a frame and different images each month that you can put in your shower to give you encouragement and put God's word in your shower.  I don't know about you - but I spend a lot of time praying in my shower.  If I can look at a verse while I'm in there and put it on my heart first thing in the morning or last thing at night - it's a great idea! Even better - put it in your kids' showers! I have my own line of verses I picked out - you can check it out here
