Gobble Till you Wobble

This is one of those posts that isn't interesting to anyone but me and our family but I'm doing it because I want to remember these days!

This week we, along with everyone on my Facebook feed, had Thanksgiving lunches at school.

First up was preschool lunch.  We had the same lunch with the same teacher with Harper.  Hopefully in 3 years, we will have the same lunch with our baby boy.

This is Hollis and her very best friend.  These two are inseparable.

Another friend with Hollis.  Her mom is one of my favorite people so I'm glad they are in class together.

Me and my middle turkey!

Today I had lunch with Harper.  I loved being up at her school.  I'm friends with so many parents and have started getting to know a lot of parents of Harper's classmates so it's just fun to see everyone and to watch Harper in action.
(aren't their shirts cute? Our friend Ashley sent them to us!)

I mentioned this on Instagram but because of Harper's hearing for several years she had a lot of communication problems.  I worried it would keep her from making friends.  Why did I ever think that? Her personality would shine through whether anyone could understand her or not.  It tickles me to see all of her friends smiling and waving at her and giving her big bear hugs.  Kindergarten has been such a gift!

One of my favorite people is a kindergarten teacher at our school.  She was dressed up like a pilgrim and it was so cute!

Harper and Sarah Kate!

After lunch, I ran by the mall for a few minutes with Hollis.  When we pulled up she said "What is this place?"  I'm going to take it as a good sign that she's almost 4 and doesn't know what a mall is.  I rarely ever go to the mall and if I do, it's when they are in school or on the weekend.  She loved it.  She kept stopping and saying "Look at THIS cute smile. Take my picture!"  And then she would pose.  And she turned out to be a pretty great shopping partner.  Maybe we will make it to the mall again before she is 8.

I'm so thankful for so many things but my family is my biggest blessing.
