Summer is winding down and fall is always busy so after we worked at the clothing give away Saturday morning, we took the girls out for a Super Stamps Summer Saturday! (I'm a sucker for alliteration).
First we went to lunch. How cute are these two?
We gave the girls a few choices of things we could do and they both insisted on bowling and a movie. I tried to get them to narrow it down to one thing but they really wanted both and you only live once, right?
So first we went bowling where Hollis beat us all. Yes she had bumpers but still. I think she wins every time we go.
Then we went to see Planes 2. It was cute. We had a great day together.
So I know from talking to a lot of my friends that this is a common issue but Harper winds up in our bed nearly every night. She slides in sometime in the night and leaves me without about 2.5 inches to sleep on. I carry her back to her bed a lot of nights but she is like a boomerang. She comes right back. We have not been able to figure out what to do. Nobody sleeps good this way. I have tried to promise her things before to encourage her to stay in her bed but even bribes haven't worked. And I tried stern talks but that didn't work at all.
She decided recently that she really wants a camera. So I told her if she could sleep in her bed for 10 straight nights we would get her a camera (just a small, inexpensive kid one). She must really want that camera because we have made it 5 nights so far. I'm hoping 10 nights will set her on a new pattern. Or she will still be sleeping with us when she's 16.
Anyone else have something that worked for little bed crawlers?
