I'm afraid my blogging has been super haphazard this summer. I've slacked on book club and Show Us Your Life and just blogging in general. I'm hoping to get back in the groove in the next few weeks.
And just so you will know - the SUYL schedule is over on the left and Friday will be "show us what you make or sell" so if you make anything fun - this is the day to link up. IF you do direct sales - do not link up - we will have a special day in the next few weeks for that!
I do want to finish out our book "Surprised by Motherhood". It's a great read and an easy one. I hope any of you who are reading will jump in and join the discussion.
Today we are talking Chapters 7-8.
1. "Becoming a parent is a lot like breaking up with yourself". In what way did you change when you became a parent or what are the things you missed from your pre-parent days?
I don't miss my pre parent days much but there are times when I would give anything for a Saturday that I could sleep late and lay in bed watching movies all day and not taking care of people all day. Just being honest. :-)
2. Lisa-Jo talks about her homesickness. Have you ever been homesick? Have you moved away with young children and how was that?
I'll be honest - I haven't been homesick really. I was never homesick at college and then I moved to where I live now and have been here 20 years. But if we moved away - I would be SO homesick.
Next week we will do chapters 9-13 and finish the book.
