Mother's Day weekend

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

And if today was painful for you for whatever reason, I pray God gives you comfort and healing.

I kicked off the weekend by going to the late movie Friday night with a group of friends to see "Mom's Night Out".  It was such a cute and funny movie.  We all loved it!! GO see it!

Saturday we didn't have any plans and I just wanted to have a family day.  We got some work done at home in the morning and then after lunch we went for a trail walk and then went to the splash park for opening weekend.  The girls loved it.
It was such a nice day.  There is a Crepes food truck right by our splash park so I went over and got us a dark chocolate and strawberry crepe for all of us to share. It was the perfect snack.

We left there and went to a park and played and took a little trail walk in the woods.  We came home for early baths and then grilled out dinner.  It was the perfect day.

I'm so thankful for these two girls who call me Momma.  They really are exceedingly, abundantly more than all I could EVER ask or imagine.  (eph 3:29)

We had a great morning at church. I didn't want to go out to eat anywhere because I knew it would be crazy everywhere so we just went to a burrito place we normally go to.   I told Scott what I really wanted to do for Mother's day was work in our yard.  Our landscaping needed fresh mulch and I wanted flowers for our porch.  So he watched the girls all afternoon and I spent the day buying mulch and laying it out and pulling weeds.  I love when you get fresh mulch out.

I did have a little help.  ha!

This was my 6th Mother's Day.  (including #5 where Scott and Hollis were sick and we just stayed in our pi's) It's hard to believe how quickly these years have gone by.

Happy Mother's Day!
