Skirting the Issue

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Stamps house.  I put up all my Christmas yesterday while the girls were at school and asleep last night except for our big tree.

I was thinking about tree skirts.

I can never find a tree skirt I love.  I have a couple of trees I put up and I just don't love any skirts.

I also don't sew.

So I improvise and just buy fabric and drape around the tree and honestly I love how it looks.  This year to match my red and green fun tree - I found some cute red and green chevron material at Hobby Lobby and I loved how it turned out.

My Christmas card tree is done in burlap so I just drape some burlap around it.  (This tree will be WAY more fun in a few weeks when it is covered in Christmas cards!)

I have also used table cloths before.

World Market has this cute ruffle burlap skirt but they don't sell it online.

These new so ruffle skirts have been all the rage and I LOVE LOVE DOUBLE HEART LOVE them but I think it would take FOREVER to make and I just don't have the time to dedicate to it. Maybe one day when they are no longer popular I will have time to make one. ha! (It's just hot glue)

Saw this skirt on ETSY - it's so fun and whimsical.

This is a fun skirt with a song on it or message.

What do your use for a tree skirt?
Did you buy or make yours?
