Sweet Retreat

First I want to tell you that if you refer to the left sidebar - you will see a new list of SUYL topics through the end of the year.  It's a lot of food - but I think fall/winter makes you want to eat, am I right? The new year will be bring all kinds of fun topics!

Tomorrow mid day I will have up tailgating recipes.  This can be anything you would take to a tailgate or maybe what you like to eat at home watching games! Can't wait.

Today was one of those days.  I had planned to get up early and get ready and start our day.  Well teething is KILLING ME - Hollis was up every 2 hours last night and then before my alarm could even go off this morning - she was back up at the crack of dawn.  So scratch a shower and getting ready early.  My mom had a dr's appt today and they were coming mid morning to visit us for a little bit.  So I got the girls all ready and dressed but I looked like death.  No shower and huge bags under my eyes. (Thankfully I got a shower later during nap time)

It was good to see my mom up and about.  She had foot surgery about a month ago and was stuck in bed for a few weeks.  She is now in a boot and will be for maybe 6 more months.  I've officially decided I will never have that same foot surgery.  I could use it and in 10 years I really could - but not sure it's worth it.

When Papa is around - everyone else is pretty much chopped liver to Harper. She is such a Papa's girl.
We enjoyed our visit with them.

Tonight our women's ministry had a special night called "Sweet Retreat".  We had lots of yummy desserts and a speaker and special music.  It was an amazing night and we had a great turnout.

Love these girls SO much.

I say it all the time but I really am SOOOO blessed by the women's ministry in our church and especially by my sweet circle of friends.

Our speaker was Mamie McCullough.  She was SO funny and so good!

It was a great night of worship.  We sang this "Hillsong" song and the words ring so true to me:

There is no one else for me
None but Jesus
Crucified to set me free
Now I live to bring Him praise
