Alive

I wanted to do a cute post about the little house we got for Hollis' birthday.  (And something is wrong and I can't get pictures to post anyway) It's the cutest little playhouse that we got for sale at wal-mart and the girls are LOVING it. Hollis can walk all around it and thinks she is so big. I was trying to think of fun lyrics about a house that I could incorporate in a post. And last night the same verse kept running through my head over and over and over and I knew........I wasn't supposed to write about the little house. I was supposed to write about the BIG house! God's house.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2

This is the week we celebrate what my passion and life is all about. We celebrate that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He loves us SO passionately and so desperately that He gave his life for us so that we wouldn't have to pay for our sins - that His blood would do it instead. He died on the cross so that if we believe in Him and dedicate our lives to following Him - His grace would save us and let us spend eternity with Him.

I love sharing about my sweet girls on my blog. I love sharing recipes and parties and decorating ideas. I love sharing about my family and friends with all of you. I love sharing my love of football and sonic. But I can't share about all of those things with you daily without sharing about the most important thing in my life. I don't want this week to go by without me saying that if you don't know Christ - if you don't have a relationship with him - I hope you find Him. A life with Jesus gives so much hope and joy. It doesn't mean a life without problems. But it does mean that when you are in a storm - HE is holding your hand and carrying you through. He is giving you the peace to survive.

I can't imagine a life without knowing Christ. I know so many of you don't go to church, don't believe in God or maybe are in a different religion. You may not even know why on earth you read my blog we are so different! Maybe you don't realize it but God led you here because He wants so desperately for you to know Him.

I believe with all my heart that the only reason I have so many people reading my blog has nothing to do with me and everything to do with Him. I feel as if all of you are my friends and I can't imagine not taking the chance to tell each of you about the most wonderful gift you can ever receive.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
