Ice Ice Baby

I love our little town. I like to think of it as my own personal Stars Hollow. (If you watch Gilmore Girls - you know what I mean).  It's just a neat little town that keeps getting more amazing.  It was recently named the only Hot travel destination for 2012 that is in the U.S.!

We have this cute little square with a neat farmer's market and off the square is a trail you can walk to get to one of the most amazing art museums in the country that just opened in November.  Right in that area is a skating rink in the winter/splash park in the summer.  I have been wanting to go ice skating so bad so today we finally went.  Harper and I skated and Scott and Hollis watched.
(I love the scarf I'm wearing because some kids in Ecuador gave it to us when we visited them in November! I wear it to remember them!)
I haven't ice skated in probably 20 years so I was a little shaky. They had neat little "walkers" for kids and at first Harper and I both struggled but she got the idea very quickly!
Scott's camera battery died right after we got there so all these pictures are with his phone. Harper wanted to do it "herself" and she loved it. She kept saying "I like Ice skating!".  She thought it was snow and at one point tried to lay down and make a snow angel. ha! I hope it snows this year so she can experience snow.  The last 2 years she really didn't understand it.
Hollis is her cute frog hat watching us!
It was a really fun morning!
And then we went to Chick-fil-a and ate lunch and Harper played for a while.  Now the girls are both napping! What a great way to spend a Saturday!

I hope I never have to move! :-)
