Three and the Punch Recipe

As if a concert and a shower at my house weren't enough for one weekend - yesterday after church we had a third birthday party for my "niece" Sarah Kate!

Sweet Ella Kate
Sarah Kate just got a toddler bed and Harper is enthralled with it. She spent a lot of time in it. I hope she's not getting any ideas - we aren't ready for that yet!
How cute are these boys? Matthew and John Michael.
Pretty Neely
How cute are these kids? I couldn't believe they all sat on the couch and let us take pictures for several minutes. Of course - we promised them cake! John Michael, Parker, Wells, Matthew, Emily, Harper, Ella Kate, Neely, and Sarah Kate.
Sarah Kate blowing out her candles.
The kids had ice cream and cake and then went outside to play.
I love this picture because it gives me a flash forward in 14 years - I can see Harper and Neely or Sarah Kate cruising around town. I have a feeling it will come way too fast and I'll look back at this picture and want to cry.
Kacy and Jessica are two friends I just love to be around.
Me, Laurie and Hollis
Sweet girls
We were teasing Scott because he was inside and I told him he better come out because Harper was on her first car date with a boy!
My friend Amanda came to the party for a few minutes. She JUST had baby Lela on Friday!!! She looks amazing and Lela is SO precious. She has dark, thick hair which I love because her sister Neely is red headed. I just know Lela is going to be Hollis' best friend and I love that kind of look alike!

I was looking back at pictures - This is me and SK on the day she was born and her first and second birthday parties. I didn't get a picture of us together today but I love watching her grow. I love Laurie's girls like they are my own. I hope to celebrate years and years of birthdays with them!

And a lot of you have asked so I wanted to post the recipe for the punch we served at the Sip and See. It was SO good. I was so glad Erin sent it to me.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice
  • 2 (12 fluid ounce) cans frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 liters ginger ale

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine bananas, sugar and 3 cups water. Blend until smooth. Pour into a large bowl and stir in pineapple juice. Blend in orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate and 3 cups water. Divide into 3 plastic containers and freeze until solid.
  2. Remove from freezer 3 to 4 hours before serving. Using one portion at a time, place slush in a punch bowl and pour in 1 liter of ginger ale for each.

My dress & sweater came from Target. I'm in love with maxi dresses this summer!
