I love summer and I love Christmas.................
but there is just something magical about College Football Season!!!!!
I think you all know that I'm a HUGE Arkansas Razorback Fan!
I also just pretty much love all things SEC!
Now I know there are a bunch of you out there who are Big 12 or Big 10 fans or Pac 10 or whatever.........but I'm not just biased - the SEC is the greatest conference in all sports with the BEST fans!
(You can argue with me all you want - but I'm not bending on this one! ha!)
I get SOOOO excited around this time of year. It's a little different this year because even though we have season tickets and I've gone to every game pretty much since I was a young girl and my dad started taking me (I was even proud that I waddled to every game last year even though it almost killed me) - there is something WAY more important in my life this year!
So I'll be watching most games on TV instead.
But that's okay - that just means I can eat food that doesn't cost $30 and taste like cardboard and I can go to the bathroom without crawling over 100 people and I can yell obnoxiously and not worry about people being annoyed (because girls I yell LOUD at games!)

And the great news is - that tomorrow Boomama is hosting a Dip Blog Tour so I can get a million recipes for dips. Because I have to tell you - I'm a dip girl. Give me a sonic vanilla coke and a table full of dips and I'm in heaven. And put my hogs on TV in HD and it's pretty much the best day ever!And don't forget tomorrow is show us your favorite school pictures! I hope we can have fun looking and laughing at the old pictures!!! Or feel free to show us your kid's cutest school pictures! Let's celebrate the start of the school year!

P.S. Please pray for the man who trained me to be such a big Hog fan - my dad - he is headed to India this morning to work with pastors there - teaching and training them. I think this is his 3rd or 4th trip there. It's a LONG trip so we are praying for his safety and for God to use him.

I went to the U of M in Minneapolis and me and thousands of my closest friends would cheer our hearts out to the mighty Gophers in Maroon and Gold. This year we get on campus football again and a brand new stadium, should be a great year!

I never will forget my first fall in Fayetteville when the "Road Hogs" came in to camp on Wednesday before a Saturday game. I went to games at Missouri State as an undergrad and it wasn't a big deal....students got in free no problem....
I quickly discovered that in AR it is not a game, it is a religion. I do miss the excitement of game day...you could feel it all over town!

I love college football. My house is a mixed bag. Hubby and oldest ds love Michigan. (Oy vey) and my 12 yo and I love the TX Longhorns. However, that said, the SEC is awesome and I love Tim Tebow.

I love everything about football and have most of my life. I have an older brother who's first sentence in life was "Where's my football?" So..he started me out young. I watch alot of games each season...most of them SEC.
I have always been a BAMA fan until I married my husband. He is a Mississippi State fan and so I lean more towards them now. We got married November 5th, 2005 and it was the day of the Alabama-Mississippi State game. I was unaware of this when we planned the wedding but it was a cool coincidence.
We are big OU Sooner fans! In some of your pictures you looked so dressed up at the games. Do you wear dresses and such to the games and do others as well? It seems odd but then again you look great! Don't worry about answering my question, just wondered.

I love me some college football - especially SEC!!!
I grew up in West Virginia, so I've always been and always will be a WVU fan.
I moved to Georgia (about halfway between Atlanta & Athens) during Herschel Walker's last year at UGA and fell in love wih the Dawgs.
While living in Georgia, I met and eventually married a Razorback and have been a fan ever since!
Every gameday I fly my WVU and Razorback flags in the yard and I actually own more Razorback apparel than WVU. This summer on our way home to Dallas from St. Louis we detoured through NW Arkansas so we could see the new field - the hog in the middle looks awesome!!
We hope to make it up to Fayetteville for at least one game this season, and we've ordered ESPN Gameplan to watch as many of the other games as we can. This coming Saturday is my favorite Saturday of the year!
Where are all the PAC-10 fans out there?!?! I must admit, I don't think the west coast is as hardcore as the south/midwest when it comes to football, but I personally bleed purple and gold! GO DAWGS (University of WASHINGTON)!!!!!!!!

i bleed garnet and gold through and through!! like you my parents started taking me to the games before i could walk. we have had the same seats since before i was born. the only person in my immediate family not to go to fsu was my sister and she went to auburn but remained a true seminole! before kids we went to every home game and a few out of town games. since having the girls i maybe go to a few a year and at least one of those we take the girls. love me so college football!! Go Irish! Love our Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I think I only saw a handful of ND fans here--lots of SEC fans. I may just have to check out the SEC. However, I will say there is nothing like a fall Saturday at Notre Dame stadium.
