Why is Harper so happy today?
I mean she has got the Joy, Joy, Joy down in her heart!
Because this weekend we finally broke out shoes!!! I know what you are thinking........just now? She is 8 months old! Well, at first we stayed in all the time and she was so little - shoes seemed uncomfortable so I just kept her in socks. And then she had the great habit of chewing her feet constantly so it was useless to put anything on her feet plus it was hot summer in Arkansas - so we just went barefoot. But since Fall is now officially here - I put her in shoes and she LOVED them. This morning I was worried we might get pulled over by the fashion police for wearing white shoes after labor day (does that rule apply to babies?)........so we headed to Target to get a few new shoes for fall.
Really - why are you just now telling me about shoes? What else are you holding out on?
We got these little black sweet shoes that have the cutest bow!
and I love these in the fall colors. They are a little big.....but will hopefully be good for a few months! We are growing so fast!
Now wait until I tell her about jewelry!
Um - remember how we got to meet David Crowder and how we love him dearly???? Remember how I listened to him pretty much on a constant basis all through the hard (and good) times of my life and sometimes when I hear "You are my Joy" I just want to jump up and down because seriously I could just burst because God IS my joy. David Crowder and his band have the greatest songs. Well - his newest CD "Church Music" comes out tomorrow and let me tell you - it is GREAT!!!! And I am just bouncing out of my seat because I have 10 copies to give away!!!!!! So leave me a comment - tell me your favorite DCB song or if you have never heard of him - let me know that - I'd love for someone who doesn't listen to Christian music or has never heard of David Crowder to win this! I'm reading the comments and realizing so many of you have never heard of David Crowder so I'm going to put a few videos on here so you can hear some of my favorites - (I will say that his new CD is good but different than his normal stuff - so you may want to go to itunes and download "illumination" or "remedy" or "collision (so good)" first if you don't have any of his music).

Oh, Kelly! As much as I adore DCB, my 3 year old daughter is INFATUATED with him. Seriously. I don't know if it's his hair or what, but she will sit in front of the computer and watch his You Tube videos for an hour at a time. She talks about meeting him, and when I showed her the picture of y'all with him, she got so excited. I think my two faves of his right now are Never let go and How He loves. I cry every time I hear them!
Of course I like the new song!! I like Everything Glorious and Forever and ever etc.

I think that my favorite DCB song is "Everything Glorious". It's hard to pick just one though.
The only music I listen too are two local Christian radio stations. They hardly ever announce the singers, though! It took me a LONG time to find out who sang one of my current favorite songs. So, I have heard DCB (assuming their music is released on the radio), but I don't know what they sing!!!
I love O Praise Him, but I think it's about to be replaced by How He Loves Us.

Oh my goodness, DCB and Shane Barnard are how I made it through the toughest time of my life -- my parents divorce. I couldn't fall asleep at night during that time without listening to them and praying and crying.
Pretty much every DCB song gives me chills but my absolute favorite is "Only You". I actually signed up to take guitar lessons solely because I wanted to learn how to play that song!! Unfortunately, I don't remember anything I learned in guitar class now that I have a toddler and another baby on the way! ;)

Nope, I've never heard of him. Maybe I have heard some songs, but I never remember the song name or artist. I'm so horrible!! LOVE those brown shoes for Harper. I don't think I put shoes on Kayla until she was walking, so don't feel bad. I kept her bundled up through the winter, then summer came and then she was walking. Just remember that it's better for them to learn to walk barefoot, so give her lots of time without shoes too ;)

I was living in Colorado and in the cold winter mornings when we headed out to go boarding, I'd crank him on my ipod and praise God for the snow, mountains, fresh air, and for the good life. Even now that I am back in MI his music inspires awe, love for my father in heaven who loves me dearly, and the knowledge that I am his.

wow i am comment 800 and something...but i am a DC fan...i have been to Passion twice and going this Jan. (and i am 50!) I take some of our college kids to the event and simply love, love, the whole event. I enjoy worship music...even though i can not sing i know the Lord hears me. I am "passionate" for the Lord and the songs he blesses singers/songwriters like David and his band! my favorite...hmm so many..."here is our King"...had to look on my iPod to pick one..very hard.and i LOVE WE WON't BE QUIET...cuz that is how all Christians should be! NOT QUIET about our Jesus! I live in florida.love the big 10 (go Hoosiers...kinda like hogs)and have a 17yrold, 25yrold and a great Godly husband! Amelia Kate had (quickly outgrew...boohoo) those white sandals with the flower. You have to check out Pedipeds, if you haven't already. Some of my fave little girl shoes!! So sweet....and they look super comfy (I want a pair!). I hope Harper is healing well from her surgery...I've been praying for her sweet little self!

Well, I'll come out of the woodwork again for David Crowder! I love his music, and am especially fond of "Wholly Yours." That was one of my first exposures to DCB and is one of my husband's favorites to play on his guitar around the house. I think he might be more excited than me if I win the CD! I heard a new song on K-LOVE this morning on my way into work. Then they said it was a new David Crowder Band song and David was in the studio! I can't remember the name of the song, but I loved it and it was so different from his other songs.

Since having kids, I don't listen to much besides Go Fish (a kids Christian music band) and other bible songs. All that to say I'm a little familiar with DCB, but not too much. I love the song Only You.

How the heck do you pick JUST ONE DCB song? I have been a fan of DCB since way back when "Pour over me" came out. I'm SO SO excited that Church Music is finally out!
I have heard of DCB but I've never really listened to their music. My younger co-workers have traveled near and far to see DCB in concert. Their last big adventure was a drive straight through from Western NC to TX for the release of one of their previous CDs. They still talk about that trip.

Baby shoes are so incredibly adorable! I've never really listened to DCB. I'm sure I've heard them on the radio because I listen to Christian music on Sirius. I would love to win their new CD though. If not I may have to go out and buy it or at least see about purchasing a few songs on itunes.

Oh Wow! I just got an email from the youth pastor at my church letting everyone know he's coming to Massachusetts in November. I have never heard about DCB but I commented with a friend that listens to Christian Music and is a Christian and so is my sister-in law and my brother and they know he is I would love to win one of the CD's you will be giving away. Ive listen to Christian music myself and they are so calming and relaxing maybe I can listen to it hear at work rather than have it on the local radio stations. I love those shoes you bought Harper at target the black ones are gorgeous I will be there this weekned to buy some for Jayson the ones with the monkey are the ones I liked for him they seem comfortable for the upcoming season.

I love David Crowder!! I went to Passion 2007 in Atlanta and he was one of the bands leading worship. My favorite song of theirs is their version of "dignified." i love it!! we actually played it at our wedding as we were walking out of the church!

I have always loved "Wholly Yours", but my new favorite is "How He Loves Us". On the morning that my daddy passed away, I was headed home to see him. I got in the van, tears in my eyes, and this song came on. I can't tell you how it blessed my spirit. I had the sweetest time of worship in my car as I drove. An hour later my Daddy was gone, and I hadn't made it home in time, but I had the comfort of God's great love for me, and the knowledge that Daddy was in his presence, and I was so encouraged by that.
I too am a fan of Wholly Yours. I look forward to listening to some of his new songs as well.
