Why is Harper so happy today?
I mean she has got the Joy, Joy, Joy down in her heart!
Because this weekend we finally broke out shoes!!! I know what you are thinking........just now? She is 8 months old! Well, at first we stayed in all the time and she was so little - shoes seemed uncomfortable so I just kept her in socks. And then she had the great habit of chewing her feet constantly so it was useless to put anything on her feet plus it was hot summer in Arkansas - so we just went barefoot. But since Fall is now officially here - I put her in shoes and she LOVED them. This morning I was worried we might get pulled over by the fashion police for wearing white shoes after labor day (does that rule apply to babies?)........so we headed to Target to get a few new shoes for fall.
Really - why are you just now telling me about shoes? What else are you holding out on?
We got these little black sweet shoes that have the cutest bow!
and I love these in the fall colors. They are a little big.....but will hopefully be good for a few months! We are growing so fast!
Now wait until I tell her about jewelry!
Um - remember how we got to meet David Crowder and how we love him dearly???? Remember how I listened to him pretty much on a constant basis all through the hard (and good) times of my life and sometimes when I hear "You are my Joy" I just want to jump up and down because seriously I could just burst because God IS my joy. David Crowder and his band have the greatest songs. Well - his newest CD "Church Music" comes out tomorrow and let me tell you - it is GREAT!!!! And I am just bouncing out of my seat because I have 10 copies to give away!!!!!! I'm reading the comments and realizing so many of you have never heard of David Crowder so I'm going to put a few videos on here so you can hear some of my favorites - (I will say that his new CD is good but different than his normal stuff - so you may want to go to itunes and download "illumination" or "remedy" or "collision (so good)" first if you don't have any of his music).

I love David Crowders music. The first time I saw him in concert, he was opening for Mercy Me. I thought" who is that freaky looking guy?" Then I listened and I recognized the songs and have listened to him ever since.

DCB is one of my all-time favorites!! They are extremely talented, and it is so hard to pick a favorite song!! So here are a few of my faves... O Praise Him, No One Like You, Here is Our King, Open Skies, and O, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing. Love them and would LOVE their new CD!!

I've never heard David Crowder Bad...I don't think. I do listen to the Christian radio station in the car sometimes, but not as often as I'd like =/ after watching the videos you put up though, they seem fabulous!

Remedy is my most favorite DCB song. It has helped me through one of the hardest times of my life. When my brother passed way almost four months ago "Remedy" would be going over and over in my head. It lulled me to sleep many nights when sleep was hard to come by. God definitely is my remedy in EVERY situation. I love the power of DCB's songs. Awesome!

I have never listened to David Crowder, but I do listen to Christian music. I have a degree in church music and equally love the traditional church music and contemporary christian. My favorite artist is Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman.

I have never ever listened to DCB, and that is sad because I only really listen to Christian music and Classical. My husband is at the David Crowder Band concert right now!! It is in Waco, TX (where the band is based) and it is kind of a CD release concert. I am home with the kids, but my 5 year old daughter absolutely loves DCB and has been singing along since she was 2 years old. We love all the songs, but she especially likes to sing out on You Are My Joy! I get to go to another DCB concert next month!
I have not ever heard a song by David Crowder that I know of. I just love listening to Christian Music and would love the have this to listen too. Our church just started a contemporary worship service and I just love the music. Also, I just love Harper's shoes. I sure wish we had a Target down here in Monticello.

Ohh, David Crowder! LOVE HIM. The hubby and I are seeing him in November, and I can't wait. The first time that I heard DCB was off of audreycaroline.com and Angie Smith's blog. I would go back again and again just to hear "All I Can Say". I bought it the 1st day it was available on itunes. he is the only "Christian" band I lisiten to and the only song that I have from them. I love Christian music, but I haven't listened to much David Crowder. One song I do love of his is "Thank You for Hearing Me." We used to sing it at BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministries) in college, and it's just full of thanks we should always be giving to God, but things I so often forget to say.
