Prayer Requests

If you look on my left hand side - I've made a list of families to be in prayer for. I'm going to try and keep this up so you can check in and pray for them.

Please understand this will be a revolving list and I can't put every request up there. These are going to mostly involve babies/children and I want to keep it under 15-20 at any given time. But check it often and I will keep it updated. I hope this helps everyone to have people to pray for and it helps these families to know they have others praying for them.

That's the only way I slept those first few nights Harper was in the hospital - just knowing she was covered in prayer - whatever God's will was.

Also - SO many of you have the "Pray for Harper" button on your blogs. I love visiting blogs I've never been to and seeing that! It always makes me smile. But feel free to take it down if you want. Harper is healthy and beautiful and we are blessed. Thank you for praying for her in the season that we needed you to! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Kelly!!! You're a doll! Thank you so much for posting Katie's link.

Your blog reader have been so sweet with their comments on our site and we LOVE them!!

PS - I sent you an email asking for a mailing address a while ago. I know your inbox is probably swamped. Can you fire one off to me? I have a little something, something for you and Harper!

So glad you gave E that dress! It looks 5 years old because she wears it all the time!
Well, I cannot wait till the day that I hold Harper. Oh it just hurts me not to be able to.
So fun to be with you today! Love and hugs!

Sounds like you need a LOVIN ON HARPER button now! :)

Thanks for listing Owen on the prayer list. It always so hard to say pray for Owen to get a heart... especially because another sweet baby will earn their angel wings. It's all out of our hands.. we cherish every moment we have!

BOY have we learned the power of prayer this year! :) Isn't it amazing??!!!

Hey Kelly, I am SO thankful that Harper is healthy! As for families to pray for, I have a request.

I am a member of the TTC and Pregnancy website Two Week Wait. There is a May 09 mommy who gave birth to her son at 23 weeks, and he is a little fighter in NICU now. here is a link to her blog. PLEASE send her any prayers you can so baby KJ can grow to be the strong little boy hes ment to be!

Thanks, and I love to see all of the beautiful pictures of Harper in her super cute clothes!

Also, you KNOW I would have had one of those pray for Harper buttons, but I didn't have sense enough to put it on here. Hillary tried to explain it to me..........

Hillary said...

I'm so happy Harper is doing so great!! I can't take the button off just yet. I'd be too sad! Maybe in a few months when I actually get to hold her then I will. What a wonderful day that will be!

Hillary said...

I did...I tried to explain it to her and she gave me that blank stare...you know the one where she nods her head like she knows what you're talking about but you good and well she doesn't. I gave it my best shot.

Kelly said...

Hillary and Laurie - ya'll make me laugh. I can only imagine Laurie trying to put that button on her blog.
It makes me a little sad to think of not seeing it on people's blogs but everyone has more stuff to put on their blogs then our button now! And that's okay - it means Harper is FINE!!!!

She's just a huge part of my life now and I'm going to keep it that way...if it's okay with you!!! :)

Have a stupendous Sunday!

Love you

I'm so happy that Harper is doing so well. I've been following your blog since you let us all know that you were pregnant with a little miracle. I love seeing little Harper and all her cute clothes. Take care and give little Harper a big hug from our family.

I will be checking in on your list and will join you in prayer. What an awesome day when you can say your prayers have been answered! Oh that sweet Harper...what a little "BIG" miracle~

I have taken the button 'praying for Harper' off my blog but maybe there could be one to replace???!!! Cos I am still praying ;) X

Jacquie said...

I "thought" about removing the button a few days ago when I updated stuff on my blog... but I just couldn't. Just yet. Give me a little time...

Harper's birth was a very significant and renewing time for me... so it means a lot to me, too.

Besides, she's just so darn cute!!!

Thanks for adding those prayer request blogs! I love to keep up with those but sometimes forget or loose them when I can't click from blog to blog! Hope you had a good weekend.

It's amazing how a belief in Christ can cross state lines. I have been following your story since birth and then a few days later gave birth to a little girl myself. We are so blessed to be in the family of God and to be so quickly surrounded by prayers when needed. Thank you for sharing your story and touching lives even though that wasn't your intention at first!

Thanks for posting the prayer request links :)

I am so happy Harper is so healthy, she is too precious! I have recently started talking to sweet Owens mom about heart hospitals and that is one amazing family! I will be adding all the others to my prayer list as well. That is such a sweet thing for you to do for these families.

Melissa said...

I will keep all those families in my prayers.

I had the "Pray For Harper" button on my blog, but I figured since all the prayers worked and she's healthy and happy, that I could take it down, so I did a little while ago!

Nicole Rodriguez said...

I refuse to remove the button from my blog. Going thru that journey with you and praying for her every night and then being a witness to all of our prayers being answered will forever be a part of me...therefore the button must remain! I feel like I know you and Harper and Scott and you all are apart of my family now! I am so humbled by the Lord and His amazing power! He is good! And I am in love with all of Harper's clothes! Can they get any cuter?! I am expecting my 4th baby, I have 2 boys with me and one son who was stillborn 3 years ago, and of course we would love to have a girl, so seeing her decked out in all her precious clothes just makes me hunger for a girl even more! :)

Jaymee said...

I redid my blog the other day and I accidentally removed the button when I deleted the old background. I quickly came back to your page to get the code to put it back on there! :) I don't know if I can take it off...we need a new Harper button. ;)

I hope you four are having a fantabulous weekend!

Heather B. said...

I WILL NOT TAKE MY PRAY FOR HARPER BUTTON UNTIL THERE IS A NEW ONE!!! Just had to make sure you heard that!!! LOL!! I agree with some of the girls. I just can't bring myself to remove it. I also took a journey with you guys. A journey that took me to my knees in prayer for her. Such a special place in my heart now. I will just wait it out in hopes there is a new button soon!!!

We are all so happy that Harper is healthy! She is such a beautiful baby girl. I love seeing her decked out in all her cute clothes and accessories. Harper is such a special little girl and holds a place in my heart.

I thought about taking the button down, but I just could not bring myself to do it.... I eventually will, but I am and will continue to pray for Harper and your sweet family.

Continuing to lift up prayers!
Psalms 34:4-7 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Thank you so much for posting all the links for the prayer requests. I always go to each link that you post so that I can pray for these families. I don't know if you have checked their page lately, but sweet little Andie Grace is with Jesus now. I hope everyone continues to pray for this family.

This is a wonderful opportunity to get others involved in witnessing God's work. As the Lord leads I will pray for each of the requests. Thank you for always making time to minister to others.

Yay! Just praising God that Harper is doing so well! She is such a cutie! I love all of her cute outfits! I'm sure you can't wait to be able to get out of the house and show her off!!
Prayer is a powerful thing and it still amazes me that God chooses to use the words of ordinary people to complete His work! Thanks for posting the prayer requests on your sidebar. I've scrolled back through your blog a couple different times just to find a link to a certain family! If you need someone new my sweet little niece Olivia can use all the prayer she can get. She's two. Http://thechattpack.blogspot.com She has downsyndrom, several severe heart defects that have led to five open heart surgeries and she was just diagnosed with leukemia! We almost lost her two days ago, but God was gracious and used her awesome doctors and nurses to bring her back! We know that it's the power of prayer that has kept Olivia with us this long!

hi Kelly, I tried to post this a week ago but somehow it didn't work so excuse me if this is doubled.
I am 28, live in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa and I am a child of God! I have been married to my wonderful husband Justin for 7 years now and we had a "5 year" plan and then started trying for a baby. Its amazing how our plans are NOT always the same as God's and I believe are even better! Last year february Justin was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. (cancer of the Lymph system) He went through 7 months of chemo and is now in REMISSION. We feel so incredibly blessed and grateful to God for his healing!!! We know that chemo does affect fertility but we also believe in the God of the impossible and trust God for His will for our lives, whatever that may be. We are praying that I will conceive naturally and that it will be an awesome part of our already awesome testimony. I wonder if you could please add me to your list of ladies that receive prayer to fall pregnant?
I love your blog and just love seeing how Harper is growing. She is devine! Praise Jesus for her health.
your sister in Christ - on the other side of the world!

Kelly,
You are so precious to always include families in need of prayer in your daily posts. What a neat way to keep us all up to date with a list in your side bar! As I've mentioned before, I think what makes me love the world of blogging is the connection of prayer warriors. Praise God for the miracle of Harper! And I look forward to seeing all that He will do in the lives of so many others as we continue to pray His perfect will.

Thank you so much for being such an inspiration to me! You are a true blessing. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and give Harper lots of hugs from all of us in Texas!

Many Blessings,

Amanda

THANK YOU! I know that because of you, hundreds (or more!) of people have been praying for them. Thanks a million times.

Kelly,

Could you please add the Smith Family to your prayer list. Gavin is a 3 year old that has been battling Cancer for nearly a year.

This is the link.

There is a note on the blog that they are headed out the door to the ER. Gavin is vomiting and it has turned to blood.

Thanks,

your little one is adorable! i found your blog via a friend's "Praying for Harper" link! what a neat way to get people to bring their requests before the Lord! i was so happy to find someone who named their baby Harper! my hubby (of almost 2 years) and I had our first date at a restaurant in Columbia, SC (where we went to school. go Gamecocks! go SEC!) named Harper's. we loved the restaurant and the memory of our first date there so we decided to have our rehearsal dinner for our wedding at Harper's Restaurant as well. we just loved the sentiment! Anyway, I have always told my husband that I would love to name one of our daughters Harper(no babies yet and none on the way, we are both still in school)! So, this comment is to tell you Congratulations on your healthy and beautiful baby girl! I used the handy archive tool and read all the posts about Harper's pneumonia. I am in nursing school and I also loved reading the posts from a patient's perspective. The post is also to tell you I love the name you chose for your sweet girl and the meaning behind it (I found that post too!!) from a hopeful future Mommy of a Harper to a current Mommy of a Harper! Congratulations again, Kelly!

Instead of "Praying for Harper" how about "Thank God for mircles" or something along that line! You still have her story to tell and there are still those to be reached through her story. So keep it going!

Kelly,

Thanks so much for keeping us in your prayers and on your prayer request list. I get countless comments and emails from people everyday that heard about our story from your blog.

I'm so glad to hear that Harper is doing well. I am sure you are amazed everyday at what a miracle she is!

Hi Kelly,
I would liek to ask everyone to pray for my little boy who will be having open heart surgery on Friday, the day he turns six weeks old, for a condition called tetralogy of fallot. Please let as many people know as you can even if it is not through the blog. We've got tons of prayers out there but more can never hurt! Here is my blog link. It is justa simple one our family web space but it does the job of keeping everyone updated on stuff.http://user.pa.net/~john.and.amy/
