Yesterday my office spent the afternoon working at a local food bank. We found out a couple of things - 1. it feels great to give back somehow and 2. none of us are cut out for manual labor jobs. Especially not a 9 month pregnant girl. I tried to sit down a lot but I think I may have pushed it a little too much.
Then last night we went to a Christmas dinner at Ruth Chris. It was so nice! I didn't take any pictures. I was too busy eating. :-) When I got home - I had my first day of swelling ankles. Scott wanted me to take a picture and show you but it was just too gross. A combination of too much food and too much standing. So I'm taking it easy today. Tonight we have Scott's office Christmas party at a very nice restaurant in town so I'm excited. We are living the high life this weekend! :-)
Jennifer is running a special just for you bloggers that I wanted to share with you - go here and check out her stuff. For everyone who purchases a Scentsy Sampler then she will mail to them a free scentsy bar! Pretty neat stuff if you like candles but not the mess!!

Also - did I say on the last post that we had 5 pregnant girls in 5 weeks on the prayer blog - NO - make that SIX! :-) God is good! Keep praying and all of you who have praises - please continue to let me know so we can all share in praising God and knowing that our turn is coming soon!!!!

pretty Kelly...

I have heard so much about Ruth Chris steakhouse - one of the students I work with via Delta Gamma is a waitress there..such a small world! And, I think her sister is the manager?

Be sure to keep your ankles elevated (higher than your heart), drink lots of water (put down that Sonic Drink), and settle in for some FaLaaaa Lifetime...I love a Saturday at home.

Hugs...k

How awesome that you all spent your day doing that! It is very rewarding to do so, especially nice that your company was allowing it!

Great news for the prayer chain! God is amazing!!!

Have fun at dinner and the party! Drink lots of water and it will help with the swelling. :)

I hated my swollen ankles when I was pregnant! I had Brock in August and the last month my ankles were swollen all the time!

What a wondeful praise...6 pregnant girls!!! I would add my name to the list but I've pretty much accepted the fact that it's not the Lord's will for me to have another baby (even though I'd be THRILLED if it did happen, I'm okay with it not happening). I have a wonderful 17 year old that I'm so thankful for and I'm not getting any younger...37. I just saw your FBC blog and thought it was Fellowship Bible Church and then I realized it was First Baptist Bentonville. Do you know Hannah Smith? She's the pastor's daughter. She's my niece's suitemate at Ouachita and has been dating my nephew, who is an amazing, godly man. I've met her a couple of times and she seems like such a sweetheart.....small world. Not much longer until little Harper gets here! I am so happy for you!

Wait, no, I was at Ouachita the 92-93 year, not the 93-94 year. Hmm..I guess it's been a long time, I forget. :)

He he he, I think I forgot to publish my first comment....you totally lose brain cells after having kids, you'll find out. :) I have 3 kids so I have very little brain left! Anyway, I stumbled on your blog and I realized we went to Ouachita together when I was there in 1993-93. I was a terrified freshman at the Tri Chi rush parties and all you Tris were so sweet! I love your blog and congratulations on the pregnancy.
