Walking in A Winter Wonderland

Today was our women's ministry Christmas lunch. We had a lucky table - 3 out of 5 of us won door prizes! I got asked to start a blog for our women's ministry. If you go to my church or live in the area - you can check it out here. If you are a member of my church - please link to it on your blog and if you would like for me to add your blog on as a link - PLEASE let me know. We want to put church member's blogs on there to add to the feeling of community. But I will only add you if you ask me to.

Because I have (ahem) gotten so big in the last few months - my wardrobe of pj's and t-shirts as lounge wear has slowly dwindled. But thankfully I kept a big tub of t-shirts from college so I have had to pull those out to wear them. YES - most of these shirts are 15-16 years old but for some CRAZY reason - when we were in college - we thought it was cute to wear all of our t-shirts extra large. I remember wearing umbros underneath and you couldn't even tell you were wearing shorts. We also wore big bows in our hair - but that's another story. Scott asked me if I was really big in college. ha! Yes - I was a little chubby but not EXTRA LARGE! ha! But it has come in handy - all the tiger traks, tiger tunes, TWIRP, and tri chi shirts (for all you OBU'ers). ha!
And what would a post be like without baby cuteness? I found two sweet packages on my doorstep this morning (apparently they were there last night but I missed them). Rebecca Jo MADE ME this sweater. Isn't it SO cute???? I plan to put Harper in it a bunch! It is precious!
And my college roommate (one of my best friends) sent me this outfit that I think is just ADORABLE! It is so pretty and it will make for a great spring picture of Harper. Kandi said she had it for me and then worried after she saw Harper's closet that she didn't need more clothes. Kandi - you lived with me in college - do you REALLY think my daughter will ever have TOO many clothes??? (I scared Kandi to death our freshman year when I kept moving clothes in and in and in) ha!

We are supposed to get our first real snow tonight!!!!!

Both the sweater and outfit are DARLING! Rebecca Jo made that?!?!? Man, some people are talented! You and I are twins because right before I had Connor....I drug out some of my HUGE sorority function t-shirts from college! It was hilarious to walk around the house in a shirt that said "ZTA Pajama Party 1994" (in 2005)or something crazy like that! I think one even said "Date Dash"- that's always nice with a pregnant belly! ah, the craziness of college!
Anyway- You look cute and if you remain like me...what is next will be Scott's shirts! Todd got a kick out of seeing me wear his clothes! A girl's gotta do...
Love you friend!

First of all, you were NOT chubby in college. I don't know what you are talking about! I do, however, remember the Umbros and huge bows in our hair. We were workin' it! Ha!

She MADE that sweater? I am in amazement. It is precious.

I LOVE the outfit Kandi sent. So sweet. There is something about babies dressed in white. So pure and innocent! Can't wait to see Harper in it!

Kelly, you come by your love for clothes naturally. Your mother still has the clothes she wore in college. In fact, she has every outfit and pair of shoes that she has bought over the past thirty-eight years. Between you and Harper, Scott will have to put a POD in the backyard if he is going to have any room for his "stuff."
Yes Kelly, you really can have tooo many clothes!
Love - Dad

Hey hey! Proud of those letters you are sporting!!! Go Tri Chi!

Kelly, I took all my college and high school t shirts and all of Ross' and made a quilt out of them. I love it!!! If you want me to tell you how, email me. One of Ross' t's has a formal that says Oct. 27, 1990...that is 10 years to the day before we had our Annika!!!

Kelly ~ You look great and it won't be long and Harper will be here.

I love the sweater and the new outfit...but I agree, you can't have too many clothes for Harper. However, let me warn you...you will feel so guilty when you start boxing them up and she has only worn them one time. There are some that she will probably never wear, believe it or not.

I can not believe you are so close to holding that sweet girl in your arms. It feels like only weeks ago when I started following your blog and you were barely pregnant.

Hang in there...get some rest....Stay warm.

Praying for you in the weeks ahead.

I don't know where your Dad got the crazy idea that I still have all the clothes I've had since college but trust me, he's WAY off base! Just shows what men know!

I think his point was our closet is full of mostly my stuff! Isn't that entirely normal??? Mom

The little sweater is just the cutest and I love the outfit from Kandi!

ah - yes the 90's college shirt look...the shirts you put on (when non PG) and feel so skinny! Why did we wear them so big? Every shirt I have is an XL...and sweatshirts - I could donate to our defensive line. the ones going to the Natioanl Championship..go Sooners.

At OU (via '95-99)- we wore black pants and button downs, scarves, and denim vests...and those not cute Mom jeans. It is much cutter to go to college today. Heck, even scarves and hats are in.

Today when we order shirts for students - it is the Smalls and Mediums that win on shirt numbers. Regardless if you should wear that size or not.

You look great...and Harper will want to be just like you!

I love all your pregnancy posts showing your tummy. The collage is so neat. How awesome that you took a pic every week. You will have a wonderful keepsake. And you look awesome by the way.

I had all XL t-shirts too!! I remember the shorts you could barely see. I don't think I ever did big bows ... I had the big curls. No need to draw more attention to them.

That sweater and outfit is adorable. I would LOVE to have Harper's full closet!

Total flashback with the umbros thing. Why was it those shorts would have static some days and not others... maybe that's why our shirts were always so big...

We still have some Tiger Traks shirts around here also. You're right. They're great to wear when you're pregnant. = )

Wow, those are even more great gifts! I think the new Umbros are Soffes, but plenty of girls buy size XS Soffes and wear tshirts with them. Glad you had fun at your church event :)

You cant have enough t-shirts that are so big, they swallow you - what else comfy is there to sleep in? And look - they've paid off for pregnancy too...

So glad you like the sweater...

Umbros! Oh my goodness, I forgot about those! I used to wear huge shirts with them, too, and it didn't look like I had shorts on sometimes. Why did we do that???

That sweater is so precious...I wish I was that talented! And so is the little white outfit! I love it!

Oh - to see a tri chi shirt! I think I still have mine, too! Fortunately, mom made sis and me t-shirt quilts with a lot of our OBU shirts! You are looking great! Hang in there - I had Lane at 37 weeks! She'll be here before you know it!

You are just so cute in that pj picture!!! I loved it!!!!

I loved the white pant outfit. You are right, I picture Harper in it during the spring with beautiful bright flowers all around.

I pulled out my college t-shirts when I was pregnant too! You look cute in your Tri Chi t-shirt!! Those gifts are precious for Harper!

Love the clothes for Harper! Why were ALL sorority shirts so freaking big back in the day? I also have a TON from my college days & I wonder what was wrong with us! Now, they have the cute "baby gap" sized shirts! Whateve...we can wear out foreva!

Robyn Beele said...

Your lucky you have so many t-shirts that fit. I have to borrow all my husbands. Love the outfits!

Jennifer said...

I love the Tri Chi shirt! I don't think I will ever be able to part with my college shirts! I just love all of them! I have mostly smalls in all of mine and Brody couldn't fit in them with me so my comfy clothes were very limited!

Sarah said...

Your collage = adorable!

I laughed out loud at the old college t-shirt part because that was my lounge wardrobe when I was pregnant, too! Definitely have enough colleg XL shirts to make it through pregnancies! :)

I don't want you to think that I have forgotten that I got your address to send you something. Things have been crazy over the past couple weeks and I haven't gotten to it like I wanted. Part of it is done, but there's one more thing I want to do before I put it in the mail! I guess that I'm just reassuring you I'm not a stalker. :)
