Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

31 weeks
Harper weighs a little more than this 3 lb bag of Tyson Chicken

I'm getting a little too big to keep putting these pics out on the web - they might scare young children. But because I have special requests from my friend, Jacquie, and my favorite blogger, Angie - here I am! (I decided to spice it up a little this week and add a little protein to my veggies and fruits - because let's face it - we eat a lot more of those chicken breasts than anything else in our house).
When Harper is old enough to understand - I can't wait to sit her down and tell her all the amazing things people have done for her and I since we found out about her. I mean the blessings have just poured down on us and it makes me cry every time I think about it.
I had planned this week to go and pick up a bunch of thank you notes so I could get them written after my showers................well - I came home last night and Natasha had sent me this huge basket. A while back she had e-mailed me some designs and asked me if I would like her to make me some note cards. I thought she would send me 20.
She sent me 80!!!! And address labels to match (I smudged out our address - so they are much prettier than this in person). She had asked me if I would like to include a verse inside so I put one of the verses that is hanging in Harper's nursery - "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" Psalm 37:4. Aren't these cards AMAZING??????
She also sent me this pink and brown tiger striped dress - how fun is that? And these amazing Christmas ornaments she made with that same verse and the image from the note cards.
Ya'll - I am completely overwhelmed by all the kindess of STRANGERS to me and my family. We don't deserve it. You will never know what this has meant to me.

And finally - my blog got nominated for an award on this site and they are giving out prizes next month. You don't have to go there and vote for me but you might find other fun blogs there! You should definetly vote for Angie Smith - she is leading the parenting blogs by a mile and she plans to do something very special with her prize if she wins!

I am so glad that you like the basket! It was pretty inexpensive to do since I made most of the things myself. I am so glad that I had some time on my hands last week! Whew ... just in time for you to sent the notecards after your showers!

I just love your blog and you have brightened my day so many times. I ams so happy that you will be welcoming Harper into this world in just a few short months. God is good!

Kelly I happen to think you DO deserve it all!!! You have such a kind heart and you are a light for Jesus!! I LOVE reading your blog, I find so much hope, encouragement, and joy here!! =-)And most of all I find authenticity here, which I love the most!! You were so open and honest during your wait time for Harper, and that just makes this blessing all the more exciting for the rest of us right along with you!!
I am so grateful for the "dwelling in the land" blog...you are such a blessing to SO many women, and God has used you and your journey to "strengthen others" just like the bible says.
So enjoy it ALL!! You deserve it!!! =-).

i love the weekly photos too! in fact, even though we're 13 weeks pregnant with our third, i'm considering copying your idea for this baby! i deliberately tried to stay away from the camera when i was pregnant the first two times, and i wish i hadn't. i know my girls would have loved to see all of the cute "preggy" photos taken before they arrived!

harper has finally moved from fruit to meat! yeah harper. our babies will be here soon.

hey, i was wondering since you have a lot of friends with new babies, do any of them use a sling carrier?

i have a friend who borrowed this one http://www.sweetfletcher.com/sale.html
and loves it. but it's pricey. i found one on etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5747039, but i was wondering if they were made the same?

do you have any thoughts on slings? maybe i'll blog about it. someone probably knows more than i do.
