Pajamas and Prayers

I am CRACKING up at all of your stories of pregnancy weight. I LOVE IT! Thanks so much for sharing. I love that I can ask these crazy questions and ya'll will just come forward with all kinds of great information! Thanks, also, for level setting me. I've been thinking all this time "well - I'll just lose 25 pounds before I ever leave the hospital." In fact - I delight on telling Scott as we watch "Biggest Loser" - "I'm going to drop more weight than that person in one day!" ha ha ha ! So maybe I won't. I worry a little about my weight but I would gain 200 lbs and shave my head bald to get my sweet Harper ANY DAY!

I am hosting bunco on Thursday night and the theme is PJ's night! I'm making some yummy breakfast foods and everyone is going to wear comfy clothes or PJ's. I desperately need some new pajamas and I'd like to have at least one nice pair to take to the hospital (even though I've been warned I might not want to wear them). Aren't these cute? I went looking at lunch and I think I found some that I might go back and get after work (AND I HAVE A COUPON!) :-)

So - this is on my mind. I got an e-mail yesterday from someone who had e-mailed me a while ago (by the way - so many of you e-mail me with your stories and I LOVE EVERY e-mail I get - please keep them coming!) to share with me her infertility and she wanted to tell me that after two years of trying - she is pregnant. She asked me if I would share with her the girls I am praying for so she can pray too. I am sooooooo burdened for all of you who are trying and I try to pray for each of you by name and God has put so many of you on my heart - but I really need to make a prayer list and I'd like to be able to share it with anyone who is willing to pray. I know without a doubt in my mind that I am having Harper because of the prayers of SO MANY for us!

So if you are waiting for a baby OR a husband - and you don't mind leaving your name in the comments (and what you are waiting on) - I will make two lists and find a way to post them so any of you who are blessed with a family may have on your heart to pray for these women - you can pray over their names. If you don't want to put it in the comments - you can e-mail me at mrskellystamps@yahoo.com - just put "prayer list" in the subject.

And I'm going to update the lists with "praise" as the answers come in and keep you updated!

Hi Kelly. I'm Megan. I just love reading your blog. I've been a longtime reader, but until today I've been two shy to comment. I'm inspired by your walk with the Lord. Your blog posts are often so uplifting. Thank you so much for brightening my day each morning with your words! My Prayer Request: For sometime now, I've been in prayer for a godly husband. Being a wife and mother is the greatest desire of my heart. I just finished grad school, and I am anxious to see the plan God has for me. Thanks so much in advance for all your prayers!

At my last doctor's appt, they couldn't find the heartbeat of the baby with the doppler, so they wanted to get an ultrasound to check on things. As I waited alone in the waiting room, I broke down. I knew that whatever was going to happen, I would accept it and know that God had a plan for me. But in those moments, I got a small, tiny taste of what it must be like for the many women who ache to be mothers and aren't or can't. My heart completely broke for them and what they have experienced. I was fortunate to have found via ultrasound that my baby was indeed fine. But my heart was and has been heavy when I think about the many who I could be praying for. I think that is so wonderful that you are praying by name for some of them, Kelly. I'm going to check back on your comments so that I can pray for them, too.

Ok THIS post is the reason I ALSO KNOW we would be BFF should we live in the same town. You are quite possibly the sweetest person ever, my friend! And I am so thankful for you and for the way God is using you left and right - and the way YOU are allowing Him to do so!

The prayer list is such a wonderful idea! It would be my joy to pray for all the people waiting for the Lord to grant them the desires of their hearts. Love it.

And you can certainly sign me up for the HUSBAND list! :) I am SO ready for that guy to make his appearance!

Thanks, sweet Kelly! Ya'll have a wonderful night. :)

I think this is a wonderful idea Kelly!! I would love, love, LOVE to pray for blessings for other women! I am so excited you are going to share this list so we can lift each other up by name before our God! And I also love the "praise" list idea, so we can PRAISE HIM for HIS answers!!!!!!
As much as I would love to pray for the women on your list, I would also love to BE on your list =-). We have been trying for over two years to get pregnant (and stay pregnant- we had a miscarriage 2 years ago this month, that has been our only pregnancy so far...) We pray God would bless us in His perfect time, and that we would have the courage to hope while we wait.
Thank you Kelly!! I will be checking back to read all the comments and I look forward to being on my knees for my sisters in Christ =-)

Those pajamas are extremely CUTE!!!

I think the prayer list is a GREAT idea. I was wondering, would you mind adding those of us who are pregnant too. I know we have not experienced infertility pain, but there is peace and comfort knowing that people are praying for you ;)!

What a GREAT idea Kelly...I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and two precious children. I had one miscarriage in between my children so I have a tiny glimpse of what some couples with infertility face. I was one of the many who prayed for you to conceive Harper and would be honored to pray for others by name as well!

Kelly, what a sweet idea to pray for the many that need it! I pray for so many people myself that I sometimes feel like I am going to forget someone! I was thinking of making a list or getting a prayer journal to keep up with everything. I pray for you, Scott, & Harper by name every night and will continue to do so! I would feel so honored to be included on your list! I already feel so blessed with the wonderful husband God provided me but, as you know my heart aches for a child. I want to experience the miracle of creating a life, and most of all I want to be able to be able to give my husband the gift of being a father. It is so hard to watch him be around children and look at the way his face lights up and know that's something I can't give him. It breaks my heart. But, I DO have HOPE and wait on Him we shall! Thank you so much for letting so many people into your heart Kelly. You may never know the true magnatude of your impact in the lives of others. THANK YOU KELLY!
God Bless,
Kara Vasquez

Kelly, I am so grateful for your prayers for us as we continue our wait...three years so far. I am longing for the day when I can be moved from "prayer" to "praise"!! I've been praying for so many others too, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.

Still praying for you, Scott and Harper! Hugs, Faith

Oh Kelly, I love you so much! You are my favorite blogger. As you know, J and I have had one miscarriage almost two years ago and we have been trying for about a year now. In Oct, we found out that we were again having another miscarriage. I ask that you add me to the prayer list. You have been on mine since the first day that I found your blog. Harper is going to be one blessed angel.

LOVE the pj's and you will for sure want to take them to the hospital!!!! Even one or two more pairs. You will NOT want to be in that gown any longer than you have to...believe me!! Also, bring cute things for Harper to wear. They just put them an ugly white shirt. She will need lots and lots of pink and of course some big ole' bows!! From one mommy of girls to another. :) Love your blog!!!

Hey! Well hopefully you've added me to ur "Praise" list. We go the 25th for our next visit where we'll see Baby Kee again and hear the heartbeat! Things are going well, not as much sickness but it's worth it!

Cute jammies! Just a word of warning about taking long sleeves to the hospital, the hormones can make you really hot afterwards, so you might want to take a tank or tshirt along to wear underneath them for during the hot flashes. I totally understand about wanting to take your pjs along. That's what I did, there was no way that I was having visitors coming to see me in a hospital gown. I never had any of my pajamas ruined either.

Kelly,

I love reading your blog. You're a woman of strong faith and great encouragement. My husband Wayne and I had a miscarriage in May of 2007 and we're praying fervently and patiently waiting for God to bless us again. He's certainly teaching us a lot during this time and we wouldn't trade it for the world. We'll be married 5 years in May. Thanks for praying.

Blessings to you!

A great idea! You're so kind to pray for others as much as you do and your kindness and love of God is why you are so blessed now. I am engaged and was so blessed that the Lord brought me to my fiancee. My prayer will be put towards the others who are praying to meet the right person or to start or continue their family. May God continue to bless you and Scott! Thank you for your uplifting spirit.

Hey, Kelly!
I just wanted to say that I think it's wonderful that while you are blessed with a healthy, happy pregnancy, you are always thinking of those of us that aren't/can't. You are such a kind spirit and I am so happy to have found your blog!
I'm Erin. My husband and I have been trying for 2 years. We've had two failed adoptions. Due to finances, we are at a standstill. No idea where to turn next, except to keep turning to God and his perfect timing. I really appreciate the prayers.
Thanks!

Thanks, Kelly! You are so sweet!!!

I just recently stumbled across your blog and am loving it. I spent FOREVER going through your old posts to find the one that announced your pregnancy because I knew it would be such a happy one. Loved the picture! My dream came true in June--I was pregnant. I was so excited and so was the entire family. My husband and I went for an ultrasound and a heartbeat was not detected in August. Worse day of my life. I would appreciate your prayers for the chance at a healthy pregnancy. When I was younger I was exposed to a high level of neurotoxins and pray that will not affect my ability to carry a child. . I am so happy for you--and I love the name Harper!

Oh I love those pajamas, they are just adorable. AND a coupon? Well, it must be meant to be!

I'm waiting to be married, though I think (and pray) that I have found the man! So prayers to get us in a position to be married would be very much appreciated. I'd love to to see the list so I can pray for these women!

Kelly, I would really be honored if you'd put me on your prayer list. My husband, John, and I have been trying for the last 7 years to have a baby - with some breaks... we are ready to move back into serious trying mode again within the next month or so, and would welcome prayers that God lead us to the right doctors that can help us on our way toward becoming a family.

Hi Kelly- wow, this is such an amazing post. What an opportunity to come together and pray for the greatest desires of our hearts. I feel bad posting because we have not been trying as long as some others, however we are facing difficulties with possible PCOS and cysts. We waited 4 years to start trying b/c we married when we were 20 years old and did not think that we would have the difficulties that we are having now. I just pray that in the Lord's perfect timing we will be blessed with a beautiful baby of our own. I would love to be praying for all the others as well. Thank you for another wonderful post! :)

Kelly, I absolutely love your blog and check it frequently. Even though I do not know you, I feel like I do know you through your blog. You are such a wonderful, loving and caring person! You are going to be such a terrific mom to Harper. She is one blessed baby :)

I would love to be added to your prayer list. We have been blessed with one daughter, but have since been trying for another and we have run into secondary infertility. It has been really hard, especially since I do not have friends who have gone through what I am dealing with. My husband and I would love to have another baby. And I pray that God will bless us with this miracle someday.

Thanks!

Hey Kelly -

Well, I know you talk to my sister (Becky) a lot more than me. But, we both struggle with PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome). We are both taking Clomid in combination with Metformin to try & get pregnant. I just started my 4th month of taking my Clomid...no luck yet, but I'm praying that within this next year we will get pregnant! I know God will bless us when the time is right & wouldn't it be AWESOME if Becky & I could get pregnant at the same time!? I think that would be so much fun. I am so happy for you & I love reading your blog.

You are the modern day "Ramona"! She always had a way to make each person she came in contact with feel as if they were uniquely special to her. God has given you the same gift.

I love your heart.

You already know that I have both a husband and two wonderful sons, but my heart has been broken for my cousin, Allison, for a long time. Allison and Brett are in the process of trying to adopt (from China), but there are several roadblocks that have occured and they are financially commited. I'm praying that God will give them a child either through adoption or naturally... He is able. I think she would be grateful for any prayer on her behalf.

I would love to pray for those who contact you!

I think this is a fantastic idea! I would love to pray for other women going through this process. I know from experience the longing and heartache waiting for a child. We went through infertility treatments for over 3 years. We finally were blessed with a sweet baby boy who is now 18 months old. We are praying for God to work a miracle again as we go through infertility treatments for baby #2.

I'm so glad you are willing to do this. It's not often that you hear people offering to pray for such a "private problem". (I was told that by a lady at church :-))

We have been trying for about 18 months and have done 2 IUIs. We would very much appreciate prayer from anyone that is willing to do so.

I know that all of this is in God's timing. Your faith and trust in Him through your life is an inspiration that I truly enjoy reading about each day.

Hi Kelly. I think you are absolutely precious. You are going to meet your daughter that you've prayed for for so long and you are thinking of others. I would love to be added to your prayer list. We've been trying to conceive for 2 1/2 years and after 4 IUI's and 1 IVF, we are still waiting for God to bless us with a child. Our next IVF is in January and I'm praying that we won't have to wait until January to find out the news I've waited to hear for so long. I would also love to pray for others struggling with infertility. God bless and THANK YOU!

My husband and I are expecting our first baby, I'm currently just 9 wks pregnant. I'm having some unexpected issues already and have a dr's appointment Nov 18th to *hopefully* hear a heartbeat. I so desperately want this baby, and would love any prayers that it's healthy and developing just as it should. We are praying for a healthy, full-term pregnancy. Thank you!

Like others, I just want to say "thank you." Thank you for knowing the power of prayer!! As I was reading through many of these women's stories, my eyes were open up to the frequency of couples struggling with infertility. But I believe God has a plan for each and every one of those coulpes-- and they will be blessed. Though I am not married, and or have a boyfriend I can only grasp through how much I can not wait to have a family, how much these couples yearn and love the baby they do not have yet.

I on the other hand am on the "praying for a Godly Hubby" .. I see so many friends and couples around me who have been blessed with God-Loving partners, and I just struggle with how long God is going to make me wait -- He is treating me patience, as I know He has taught you.

Thank you again!

Hello, Kelly. I stumbled across your blog a while back when you started the Nursery Tour. It was so fun and exciting to look at all of the different themes and ideas! Harper has a very cute nursery, to say the least. The power of prayer is beyond words, and I have seen many prayers answered in my lifetime so far. Your little Harper is a prime example!! I would like to be added to your prayer list for my husband. I pray frequently for him, whoever God has made for me, and knowing that you and so many others will be praying as well is very comforting! May God bless you during the remainder of your pregnancy and once Harper arrives!

My Sweet Husband and I have been trying for 3 years to get pregnant. We have been through every possible test and to a couple of Doctors and the results are all the same. There is nothing wrong with either one of us. We should be getting pregnant. But we are not. This weighs heavy on my heart. I have finally offered this situation up to God. I do believe he has a plan for my husband and I. So please add me to the prayer list.
Thank you very much and may God bring many great blessing to you and your family.

We have struggled for over a year- which is small in comparison to some but still...we just found out we have no embroys to freeze and we are waiting to find out on the 2 embroys that were transferred. Please pray for us. This is such an emotional battle but I know that it is God's perfect plan and we must trust Him!

I know you pray for me. I would ask I be added to the prayer list. My days of trying for a biological baby are over. The details of my last tubal pregnancy are on my blog of Feb 27, 2008. After trying to conceive for a while, I had my first tubal February 1, 2007 and then the last one just a year later. Although we could easily say the month of February holds nothing but sorrow, we still rejoice. February is the month Bryan and I had our first date! Great things do happen in February. Right now our prayer is for God to reveal just a small part of His plan for our adoption. We feel God leading us to adopt but we just need to have that clarity of what. We do not know if we should adopt domestically, through the state, bi-racial, or international. We just don't know. All we know is we want a child desparately bad. We are grateful to hold and be around so many others but our hearts ache everyday for one of our own. Please pray also for victory over emotional, mental, and spiritual warfare.

Wonderful Kelly! I've been a silent reader for some time...only funny cause I'm not all that silent all that often. Like others, found your blog via Angie Smith's page.

I smile each monday with your Harper size picture. I can't wait for Harper to bring these to school to show she was truly loved before you ever met her! The best thing you can ever give Harper is your love...everyday, everynight, and unconditional.

Raised in TX, two time grad at OU, now work at OU, and travel to AR to serve my greek organization - I love AR and Fayettville's square. I love your passion for football and most of all our God, your family and friends. I digress.

Thank you for opening up this prayer request to include those of us that long for our prince charming to come only in HIS perfect timing. I live in a world of married people, couples, those that found eachother long ago and most waiting to welcome life into this world...hosted 3 baby showers, 1 wedding, and have one more baby shower to host THIS year alone. Seriously, check out my blog to see each celebration.

I truly feel (and I feel so selfish to write this) that all my friends are farther and farther away from me. It was one thing for them to belong to the married club...but now baby club. The best way I can describe this (and it must feel the same in baby ache)...the worst Red Rover Game ever - where you just are left standing on the playground and everyone else has been called over to the other team to play. Good thing I can volunteer, throw great parties, and wrap presents well.

I love life celebrations. I treasure being a part of life moments that are once in a lifetime. I loved your entry about how it is this baby, this marriage, this life you were meant to have...I 180% believe such. I know there is a plan, one to give me a future and a hope.

So as you add me (Kate) to one list...please add my sister (Kim) to the baby list as they have been approved for three years and continue to wait for their angel from China. In addition, please add my cousins (john and misty) as they learned such sad news last weekend regarding a hopeful "biological" family.

As I celebrate birthday after birthday, I am reminded we all hurt, we all hope, and we all want to be loved. So tonight, from Norman, OK, I thank you and hope you keep up that monogramming...I am a product of childhood monogramming and continue the obsession today!

What a lucky baby Harper is to have you as a mother!

Kelly, thank you so much for doing this. You are touching so many lives and bringing so many people together.

I would love it if you would add me to your prayer blog. We are dealing with secondary infertility, and are believing that God will intervene and bless us by growing our family. It is a little difficult for me to talk about because I know so many are struggling with primary infertility, and I have already been blessed with one beautiful daughter. I don't want to in any way appear ungrateful for the blessing that she is to me, but it is such a desire of my heart to have more children, and so it is painful in that regard. But I know our God is much bigger than this, and He is going to do a miracle.

Thank you again - bless you. Tell Harper that we all love her and are praying for her! You are going to be the most AMAZING mother.
