Tightwad Thursday

I hit up Wal-greens again today for some things we needed (well we don't quite need the diapers yet - but it doesn't hurt to stock up!) I saw in their ad there were several specials on these items. I also had manufacturer coupons. I did a little price check at Wal-Mart and all of this would have been $52 with tax and I got it instead for $32!!! YEAY!

I'm soooo excited because tomorrow night we are going to have a DATE NIGHT!! I can't remember the last time we had an actual date. We are going to go out to eat and see "Fireproof". In case you are one of the 5 people who haven't heard of this movie - I included a preview above. I've heard it's SO great! I think if you are married or want to be married - it's a MUST see!

We have a fun weekend planned including going to razorback stadium to watch Tim Tebow and friends beat us like a yard dog, seeing my parents, and babysitting Emily. I'm also subbing and teaching senior girls on Sunday. That's a big leap from preschool but I think it will be fun!

"Fireproof" was awesome! If you are not married, want to be married, or have been married a day or 40 years, you need to go!

Take a hankie!

Hey Kelly, I just watched the trailer. Now I really want to see it. I've been married over 24 years & I know there is no safe place that you reach where you don't have to work at being married. Looks like this movie can speak to allot of people when nothing else might. Hope you are feeling good while you are P.G, have a good week-end. K.Barnes

I am dying to see that movie! I am so glad you guys are going on a date- have a great time!
We are going to the game on Saturday....if you think about it e-mail me and tell me where your seats are. I don't know where ours are, (I don't usually go to the Fayetteville games) but I will ask Todd and tell you....maybe we could find each other for a quick hug!!!(and a picture, of course!)
Have a great weekend, Kelly!

I can't wait to see this! Thanks for showing the trailer - I had not seen that yet! Makes me want to go see it right now. As I was watching, I was thinking, what is this song? I know this song? Then I realized it is the song on the radio that makes me cry everytime I hear. I LOVE it!

Sounds like a fun weekend coming up!

"Fireproof" is AMAZING! We went this past weekend, and we both loved, loved, loved it! It's just so real. Oh, but PLEASE remember to pack along some tissues. I boo-hooed through the entire movie (pregnancy hormones? nah, it's just that good!), and I forgot to take any tissues, so you can imagine an 1 1/2 hrs worth of tears (and whatnot) everywhere haha!

And one other thing...I know this highlights the crazy in me...but I saved one of each size of Amelia's diapers in a little box, and now it's so fun to go back and look at all those sizes, esp. the tee-tiny-sized ones she wore home from the hospital. Just thought I'd mention it in case you might be as sentimental as I am. :o)

At least Tebow is good looking...it'll make the loss a little easier to bear. ;)

But then again, after last weekends game...y'all could win!

Hi Kelly. I just had to make a comment. I do the same thing with the adds! Target, Wal-greens, Wal Mart I love to find out how much money I saved and then tell my husband. He actually kinda gets excited now but I don't think he would admit it. Tomorrow marks 11 months of being married! Wow how a year can fly by!

Bonus - Scott will never have to run to Walmart at 2 am b/c you need diapers!

I love the statement "whipped like a yard dog". I can tell you've been to LA.

Yeah for date night!! Enjoy it now while you can!

I think we are going to see Fireproof this weekend as well.
If it is half as good as everyone says it is, it should be an awesome movie. I can not wait.
Enjoy your date night. They are few and far between here as well.

You will love "Fireproof"! I think I cried the entire movie. Pregnancy hormones didn't help that! Enjoy your date night and your weekend with your family!

you are going to love Fireproof it is truly a life changing movie.. It will also be one of the few movies i actually buy just like facing the giants. Have a wonderful date night.. you deserve it!!

Just a suggestion on buying diapers ahead of time...First of all, it's a great idea! But try to make sure you can take them back to exchange if you need to. When we brought Caroline home, she just didn't fit into Huggies newborns as well as Pampers newborns. She is very long and narrow, and right now Pampers fit much better than Huggies...they were a bit too wide for her. You will find that Harper will have her own unique "figure" as well, and may be more suited to one brand over another. However, buy LOTS and LOTS of wipes! I thought I was gonna have a never-ending supply after 5 showers, and I've already gone through ALL of them in 8 weeks! I just bought a case of 700 at Sam's! (I totally canNOT believe that I'm a Mommy now and can dispense this sort of advice! :-)

I've had that movie on my mind all week - and I saw it last Friday! I also got "The Love Dare" book in yesterday. Can't wait to hear what y'all think of it...

Have fun on your date!! I think it's cool you guys are squeezing some in before little Harper comes!
You'll have to let us know what you think of Fireproof!

Mom and I went to Fireproof Tuesday night. It did her a lot of good. She has fixed me a big breakfast every morning since we saw it.

We went and watched Fireproof last weekend and it was wonderful!! I am with everyone else, take lots of tissue! I cried through the entire movie (and I am not even pregnant!).

Hey Kelly. I enjoy reading your blog.. Very inspiring... I noticed you bought the Swiffer Wet Jet things... From reading your blog I have seen you have a dog.. and just recently heard that the Swiffer things can be toxic to dogs.. Just thought I would pass the word along.. Don't know how true, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.. Congrats on your little one

Glad you found some great bargains! I say again that Fireproof is just awesome. I cried as well! When we went to see it, people were clapping after the movie was over!

Your dad is funny! I saw Fireproof twice last weekend and can't wait to see it again. It's amazing! Like everyone else said, take the kleenex.

We saw Fireproof last weekend and absolutely loved it! It was a life changer for us - my husband bought the book "Love Dare" right after we left the theatre. I hope you guys love it too! Cant wait to hear your movie review!

I saw an interview with Kirk Cameron about Fireproof and looks great. I wonder if it is here local?? I'll have to check. Let us know your review too!

Congrats on the great shopping deals! I love Walgreens b/c they always have good sales. Another good one is CVS. You can never have too many diapers. The smaller sizes you need a lot and the larger sizes not as much. LOL

Wave to Tebow for me! :) Can't help it after our awful loss to Tennessee last week!

Oh, I can't wait to see that movie! On the previews it said it was from the creators of Facing the Giants...my son's all time favorite movie. He's almost six and on his second copy because he watched the first one so many times he wore out the DVD!!!!!!

I'll be anxious to hear about the movie. I have heard it's great. We just never go to movies...

Seriously, go on as many special date nights as you can before the baby comes. I wish we had done more! It's hard to find that time once they are born! I'm excited to see the movie too!

I can't wait to see Fireproof! My friends went to see it and one of my guy friends admitted to shedding a few tears. I love that I get to see a movie without having to be shocked or offended by some of the filth! Yeah!

Keep buying the diapers! My husband flipped out when he saw how many diapers I had purchased/been given. He said we would NEVER use all the diapers. Well a few months into it, I sent him to the stores. He was SHOCKED that we had used so many. He checked the closet twice to see if I had 'misplaced' them. :)

I want to see that movie so badly and have been waiting for our theater to show it...so far no such luck, which makes me very very sad!! Hopefully I'll get to see it soon!

Congrats on being blessed with a baby! That is truly special and wonderful!!

I am one of the 5 that had no clue what Fireproof was.
Since my hubby just called to ask for date-night, I'm going to see if I can't twist his arm to make it "ladies choice" tonight. Keep your fingers crossed that I get a little Mexican ~ Movie ~ Madness.
