So Happy Together

Scott and I just got back from a really wonderful Babymoon! We had such a nice weekend. My mom came over Friday and spent the day shopping and spent the night with us. She took us out to eat at Mimi's and neither one of us remembered to take a picture???

Saturday morning she left and then we got ready and headed to Tulsa. We got there just in time to have lunch at the Cheesecake factory.

I had yummy soup, salad and sandwich and Scott had a burger
And who can eat there without having cheesecake? (mine is the snickers one - oh yum!) (I know ya'll have missed my pictures of food so I'm trying to bring it back!)
We then headed across the road to Babies R Us to pick out baby things. Can you just FEEL the excitement in Scott's face? This is sort of how we both felt trying to pick out things. It was very overwhelming to have to make decisions.
This is the stroller we picked out. We wanted something neutral so (just in case) we have a second child and it turns out to be a boy - he won't have to ride around in a pink stroller. ha! I like the green and brown. Scott's parents got this and the car seat for us and we are so thankful for that!
We stayed at Babies R Us for about 2 hours so when we got done - we were worn out. We checked into a hotel and just relaxed and watched Ole Miss get beat by Bama. (not that we were excited about that or anything - ROLL TIDE!)
Then we headed off to have dinner at the Melting Pot and it did NOT disappoint. We had too much lunch so we decided to skip all the courses. We did a meat and veggie course and it was so fun to cook the food ourselves. It was really good.
And then came my favorite thing EVER - chocolate fondue! I think it was the best dessert I've ever had - I kept saying that over and over. We got the ying and yang - which is half dark chocolate and half white chocolate and I could have just licked the pot. I think if Scott wouldn't have been horrified - I would have.
Can you just see how deliriously happy I was in this picture???? Harper loved it too - she kicked me to death all the way home after that. The girl is going to have sweet tooth I think. ha!

I'm going to skip over the part where the hogs lost by 1 point last night. Luckily we couldn't watch it. We slept in this morning and then got ready and went to one of my favorite areas of Tulsa- Uttica Square to eat brunch. Only the place we planned to go to was closed and the only other breakfast place was packed to the gills and all the stores nearby weren't open yet so we just headed home and ended up eating at Arby's. (There was a redneck couple in there and their son's name was AXL. I'm not making this up. I almost asked them if they were Guns and Roses fans). ha! (They kept saying "Axl - eat your sandwich") ha!

I have a VERY busy week ahead so I'm going to try and rest up the rest of the day. I'm off to grocery shop and pick up Dawson from Doggie Day care! Hope your weekend was as good as mine!

All of the restaurants you ate at are my favorites! Well, minus Arby's...I'm not saying I don't eat there...it's just not a fave of mine. (: Sounds like a great babymoon!

The stroller is cute and neutral is definitely the way to go if you're hoping for more babies in the future.

I just got done making your Double Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake to take to our church small-group tonight...YUM! Can't wait to try it!!!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Ahhh...I'm glad you too had a great babymoon :) Love the name!

The stroller is precious and will DEFINITELY come in handy when Hudson decides to make his debut.

The Melting Pot is one of my favs...glad you liked it!

adelaide has that stroller! she likes it a lot but i love it.
don't even get me started on how great the colors are, the cup holders are, the sunglasses holder is, and the basket underneath is so spacious (i might be guilty of letting berkeley ride in it when she gets worn out on our long walks).
i obviously love all the features, but my favorite is what i call "the secret compartment" that i didn't even know existed for weeks. in between the cup holders there is a little tab and when you pull it up there is the perfect compartment for your keys.
okay, enough of my passion for the stroller, but i do hope y'all enjoy pushing harper in it lots:)
and so glad you had a wonderful babymoon!

You look absolutely beautiful when you are pregnant! Some women look tired but you are seriously radiant! I don't think it was just the chocolate dessert.

My kind of weekend! Welcome home and hope you got some rest.

Kelly - I thought about you this weekend! Wayne and I almost ate at the Melting Pot, too, while we were in Birmingham. But we talked ourselves out of it. Can you believe that?!? Like being away from home wasn't special enough?!?

Anyway, if you get a chance, hop over to my blog and see the pic I have of your ex-coach. I can't remember if you guys are Nutt fans anymore, but I DO remember Scott sporting a "NUTT" shirt earlier in the season. Anyway, enjoy!

Glad you liked the Melting POt!

I would have definitely supported you licking the pot. But I have strong feelings about leaving any type of chocolate unaccounted for. :-) Harper is going to riding in style in that stroller!!!

So glad ya'll had a fun babymoon! Ya'll are so cute. And you look so gorgeous and happy in all the pics. I love it!

Sounded like a great weekend.

AXL,wow too funny and a G&R fan for sure!
Once while visiting family in AL I took my girls to chick-fil-A for dinner and there were twin girls with the same name. Peyton Ann. They called one Peyton and one Peyton Ann. No lie they introduced themselves with the thickest accent as "Hi, we're Peyton and Peyton Ann". My daughters came a got me to explain what they were saying.Guess it was the only name they agreed on.LOL. My oldest said thanks for not making her share her name with her sisters.

Love the stroller! I am hoping for a neutral one too! Seeing your food from Cheesecake Factory made my stomach growl! I also love the Melting Pot. So much fun to sit around, talk, and eat. Also, I have that brown dress you were wearing! I just wore it yesterday to church. We must've been on the same brain wavelength.

We were so overwhelmed to register for baby stuff too. My mom came with us to help with advice and even she was overwhelmed when she saw all the choices that didn't exist 30 years ago :) Isn't it fun to start to get the big stuff? It starts to feel real!

Cheesecake Factory and Fondue are two of my favorites! I'm sad you missed the cheese course but I understand about being full from CF. So glad y'all got to have a babymoon, we planned one but it never came off due to bed rest, etc. You'll be so glad that you took the time!

Hi Kelly,
I came across your blog after reading Audrey Caroline's story and I am glad I did. You are awesome, beautiful and I love reading what God is doing in your life! Then, today I read your post and saw the same stroller we have for our son. Totally love it-and believe it or not, you are the first person I know with the same stroller! I also loved the colors and the stroller and infant seat are awesome!!! Praying for you in Syracuse, NY!!!

You always make me so hungry when I read your blog!!!!! That sandwich and soup at the Cheesecake Factory looks so good. I love there white chocolate macadamia nut cheesecake. I do believe I may have to pay them a visit soon.
