Whooooooooooooooooooooooo Pig Sooie!!!!!!!!!!

Four more days until my very favorite time of the year (outside of Christmas) - FOOTBALL!!!!

Anyone out there excited besides me????? I can hardly stand it. I love EVERYTHING about this time of year. I love when the leaves change, I love pumpkin candles, I love pumpkins on porches, fall wreaths, crisp days, fall clothes, caramel apple spice at Starbucks, starting the day with College Game Day and ending it with Sportscenter. :-) I love listening to Colin Cowherd on ESPN radio and getting pumped for each game weekend. I love Sunday afternoons when the college rankings come out. I love cool mornings and nights and warm days. I love new school supplies.

I love going to Razorback games and picking out a cute red outfit and hearing the band play our fight song and seeing the team run out of the A and making that first touchdown and high fiving everyone around me and standing the whole game and yelling at the top of my lungs and eating $100 popcorn and cokes, and people watching and looking at other cute red outfits, and listening to the after game show on the radio on the way home.

My dad turned me into the Razorback football fanatic I am today. He took me to games from the time I was very young until I got married. Most of the time just me and him and I LOVED it. I hope to help Harper love football and game days! I know Scott is looking forward to snuggling with her on the couch in January and watching NFL playoffs. ha!

Speaking of the SEC ( the greatest conference in the world) and the Hogs - our friends who gave us that awesome SEC matching game started a blog. Please go visit them and welcome them to blogging. Oh and they also got Scott this awesome shirt in Starkville (Mike's a Miss St grad).

My apologies to any Ole Miss fans out there. At least you still have the grove. ha!

So - are you ready for some football and who are you cheering for?????

I am looking forward to football but also the weather that comes with it. It is fun to go to the games on a nice fall day. Hubby teaches part-time in a satelite program for UofA and if they play in Little Rock this year we are going to try to get to a game. I am a huge Tiger Basketball fan but football has always been whoever is playing UT(Vols)

I am HUGE fan of FALL in general and can hardly wait for the pumpkins, the fall leaves and the need for a sweatshirt. As for football, my blood runs ORANGE (sorry to my friend Linda)....GO VOLS!!!! My Dad played football there in the 60's so we were born Tennessee fans (particularly me because he was 19 years old when I was born).

Gotta go with Penn State, we are originally from PA but now that we are here in GA, husband thinks we probably should go UGA or possibly get kicked out of our development. ha ha

I am just glad that it is coming into Fall, football season, sweaters, leaves changing and the whole hoopla of the season. Yeah!

I am so glad that I happened to find your blog today. Football is my FAVORITE time of the year. I am an athletic trainer at the high school where my husband coaches, it also happens to be the high school where we met, became high school sweethearts, and where he played football. We are such a football family that we scheduled our child's birth around a football game.
I was looking at your older posts and I have to know where I can get the SEC matching game.
Roll Tide!!!

I just got 57 times more excited about fall just by reading your post!!! We bleed red and black (go dawgs) but this weekend we will be routing for the underdog in Athens, the Georgia Southern Eagles. I wrote a sad post about it yesterday :)

The best part of College Gameday is Kirk Herbstreit ... whoo hooo!

How can I say this and it not come out corny.... My husband dreams of me acting like that! He wished I would get a little into the football season. I want to I just dont know that much about it. I cheered all through my highschool years and didnt learn a tootin' thing about it. I can mix up some great dips and finger foods. Awww My poor husband... I think he would be the happiest man on earth if I got into the game. I am going to try really hard. Of course he is cheering for yall's HOGS... all the while he lives with me... in Baton Rouge.... tigers.... sorry I had to say it, smile. My sweet baby who is 8 has mixed feelings. She has a tigers cheerleading suit and of course one for those Razorbacks. She wears them both with pride! You go girl! You inspire me....smiles! Go Hogs Go...see Im trying!

We're rootin' for our DAWGS (maroon and white) :) I'll have to get that SEC matching game too cute. One great thing of moving from Waco was we are now 4 hours from MSU and will get to attend several games with Walker...go SEC!
Btw--love the shirt Mike gave ya'll- as you know we strongly dislike Ole Miss (no offense) anyway...but you know how it is.

I've SO been looking forward to football and tailgating...but I've decided to forego the first game this year to stay home with my 3-week-old Caroline. It was a tough decision, but I figured I couldn't handle a separation of more than a couple hours just yet. Hubbie will go and celebrate for me, but I'll be there at the next game in September!

You're lucky that little Harper isn't due right before the season starts...she'll be prime age for tailgating fun next fall! :-)

And my fall wreath will be going up September 1st! :) I might hold off on the pumpkins, mums and cornstalks until September 15th! MAYBE!

I was just talking to one of my freshmen English classes about this today. I was explaining to them why fall is the perfect season--pumpkins, changing leaves, fall wreathes, apple cider, apple anything and football.

We live in the midwest, and I will always choose to root for my sweet, sweet Purdue. I can't wait to Boiler Up!

I love all the things you listed about fall except for ... football. I've tried and tried and I just can't get into it. I don't think I'll let my husband read this post because he'd be so jealous! :) I did watch the Olympics with him every night though and loved it. That's something, right! He's a huge Nebraska football fan so I guess I'll just leave it with ... Go Huskers!

Stephanie said...

Hi Kelly! I just had a blog posting similar to yours....I agree with everything you said about loving the season and football!!! Have to say it......GO AGS!!!! ; )

Absolutely love fall. Can't wait.
I've been checking all the tv sports to see what's on this weekend (since we can't go anywhere).
We cheer for a few teams actually. I'm a UNC fan that went to ECU, the son & the hubby love NCSU and we've just moved to the upstate of SC so I guess we might have to start cheering for Clemson.
Sorry we're an ACC family.
Not much longer.

Fellow Razorback fans here!! We have been counting down the days and Claire can hardly wait to wear her sweet Hogs Cheerleader uniform Santa brought her!! This is my favorite time too..just decorated the house in fall decor!!! BTW - love the name Harper Brown and I LOVE all the things you have bought (and received =)) for her!!!

One more thing - the best part of going to football games...finding something cute in red to wear!!!

Amanda Ledford said...

Agree! I grew up the daughter of a high school football coach and taught my husband everything he knows about the sport! HA! I LOVE football season and the fall, it is truly the best time of year!
I must say that at least you get to wear cute red outfits, do you know how hard it is to find cute orange outfits! ;)

Jacquie said...

I certainly hear all about football in the fall/winter, but I just never really get that much into it. Kale has grown to love those fall football games, though.

You crack me up... YOU ARE the only one I know of who actually played their team song at their wedding!!

Jennifer said...

You are my kind of girl! I LOVE the fall! We were engaged a year just so we could get married in the fall! I couldn't have had a better due date either!! Now if I can just get Brody to be born on an away game Saturday so that I can lay in the hospital bed and watch games all day! I can hardly wait for this Saturday and I can't decide what to wear. I might need to go shopping!

My purple dress is from Motherhood Maternity. Thank you for the sweet compliment!:)

tondays said...

Who are we rooting for??? Is there any team other than the HOGS! GO HOGS!!!! Can't wait til Saturday! We don't get to go to many games in person, try to make the LR games, but we never miss one! We either watch on TV or have the radio blaring!

You now it girl!!!! I'm so excited. But sadly, Bryan doesn't seem interested at all!! I'm very sad and a little worried! :( But he seems to act like this every year right before football season. But I'm ready!! We had some scheduling conflicts and we will be in Ada for the first OU Sooner football game. I've not missed the first home football game in I think 4 years!! But thankfully my in laws are getting it on Pay Per View. I'm packing my OU gear to wear Saturday. And I too will start my morning with Game Day!! At leasat my FIL will watch it with me!!!

You are so cute...we are Aggies and used to go nuts over every game until our two boys started playing youth football. Sadly, we hardly know when the Ags play now because we are racing to our boys' games every Sat in Sept and Oct. And for the second year in a row, they're both playing quarterback and this mama has to use some serious self control in the stands!!!

Go HOGS! Boomama sent me your way and how glad I am! We are Razorbacks living in Iowa and you can't believe the lengths my husband will go to in order to watch or listen to a Razorback game. He's actually a Ouachita grad but you know everyone from AR is a Razorback! My 16 year old daughter is a high school cheerleader so we've just returned from the first game of the season. She's the last of my 3 and the only one considerng UofA. We're bringing her to Fayetteville soon--hopefully on a game weekend. Her daddy will be in hog heaven to see her call those hogs!
