Weekend Wrap-Up

We had a good visit with Scott's parents.

They got here Friday night around 6:30. I cooked Lemon Chicken and we ate and then just hung around and visited.

This is kind of what Friday night looked like - we wore the dogs out!

Saturday morning - Judy and I went to Mugs & Muffins. It was really good and we had a great turn out. Afterwards we went to lunch with Scott and his dad at Panera. Then we headed to the wilderness safari. It was really fun. They have a long drive through.
We saw lots of these - emus. They would walk right up to the car and put their faces on the glass and look at you. If our windows had been down - no telling what they would have done. We even ran into some of our friends (Brian & Isabel and their girls and Brian's parents) there. They were in the car behind us for a while.
This was my favorite - this little monkey in a diaper and onesie. SO CUTE!
We walked around the petting zoo. This is me and Bill petting the goats.
Judy had a big fan club for her bag of bread.
This zebra wanted us to see his shiny teeth!
I got in the cage with the lemur monkeys but I was too scared to pick them up so I just rubbed their bellies.
Scott and the monkeys - can you tell which is which? ha!
We cleaned up and went to try a new restaurant in town - Texas Land and Cattle. It was pretty good but very slow.
After dinner - we went over to have dessert with Steve and Laurie.
Emily wanted to show us her new tu tu. She also enjoyed finding my purse and getting out my makeup bag so I could put makeup on her. I gave her a makeover - she looked beautiful!!!

Me and the little momma

Today we went to church and then ate lunch at Copelands and then Scott's parents had to hit the road. It is SUCH A beautiful day (finally!) Scott is mowing our yard and I think me and Dawson are going to go for a walk. I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weather!!!!!!

Your pictures make me want to go to the Safari! I'm afraid that would be too long of a commute though. = ) His Doorkeeper, the Safari is right outside Gentry, AR. Once you get into town they have signs everywhere leading you to it.

I can tell you from experience that you should not hold out the bucket of food out the window for the emus, and then when they get close to the bucket decide that you are scared and pull the bucket of food back inside your car. They don't like that and they will stick their little heads right in your car and come after the bucket anyway. And then you will scream and jump in the backseat as fast as you can and spill the bucket of food all over the car....at least that's what happened to me!
Just so ya know, because I never want a sista to be uninformed about these kind of things!

Glad you had a fun weekend!
