Easter Wrap Up

We have had a nice Easter. My mom came on Saturday after dropping my dad off at the airport to go to Nicarauga. I had choir practice in the morning and then I met her for lunch.
After lunch - we drove to this store called Oops. It's one of these places where you can find a ton of great stuff or it's nothing but junk. We hit it on a good day. Mom got all kinds of cute stuff and I got this great lamp for my kitchen. It was a bargain price! I also got a pretty apothecary jar that I'll take a picture of once I get something to go in it.
We came home and worked on Easter lunch and made some carrot cake cake balls! They are yummy! Scott brought us home Outback to eat and then we went to Sam's. (Just a normal Saturday night around here).

This morning we had two church services. They both went really well. Afterwards, Laurie and Steve and Emily came for lunch.

Mom and I had both made Emily Easter baskets - so she will be on candy overload.
We had ham from Honeybaked ham (the best), potato casserole, green bean bundles, salad and rolls
Scott took a cute picture of their family
This is a not so cute picture of our family
Emily looked precious in her Easter dress

Hope you all had a great Sunday. I'm off to take a nap!!!!!

P.S. Go hogs - beat North Carolina!!!!!

Glad you had a great Easter Sunday. We did as well. I love your hair and you and your mom look so much alike. She must still be very young. The baskets are adorable as well as little Emily. I haven't been around in a while but I too love March madness and have filled out my brackets! Go Tigers!!! I also tried the suprise cupcakes you made and they turned out wonderful.
I have been and will continue to pray for you.
Blessings,
Linda

Kelly...

I LOVE your lamp, and those cake balls look yummy!

My dad sent my kids some goodies for their Easter baskets, and each of them got one of those little stuffed dogs with Easter bunny ears like the one in Emily's basket! Very cute!

Happy Easter. Hope you get a good long nap.

It looks like you guys had a happy Easter! We had Honeybaked ham, too! MMMMmmmm!! You are sweet to make such cute Easter baskets for Emily. That is so much fun. I know you enjoyed spending time with your mom. I read her blog sometimes and she seems like such a sweet woman. And I agree with another one of the comments earlier...you always take a great picture! You and Scott are such a cute couple! Enjoy the rest of your day.

I'm glad you had a good Easter! That lamp is cute. I like E's baskets. I'm not very fun--I didn't even do baskets for R & A this year.

I love your family picture. You look adorable.

And the picture of you of and your mom, PRECIOUS, I tell ya, PRECIOUS!

Happy Easter to y'all!

P.S. So my March Madness bracket is doing great, but my hubby questioned my "picking" skills. He asked me, "What made you pick Arkansas and Miss ST?"

I replied, "Well I have a bloggy friend that lives in Arkansas and I read BooMama's blog and she is a Miss St fan."

He then asked me, "Are you kidding?"

"Absolutely not. See, there is a method to my madness."

It was a funny conversation:)

First of all, where is Oops and how do I not know about it???

Second, I'm really sad I didn't get to say hi to your mom at church! I couldn't get down there in time before ya'll left I guess.

Third, I think Scott's 15 minutes of fame deserves a shout-out on the blog. It's not everyday that you get quoted in the paper!

We all three loved the lunch and the fellowship! Emily has gone nuts over the crocket and Nerds tonight. She is also in love with the puppy. She is not sad to eat cute little Easter bunnies, like I used to be. That was very sweet of you to do her a basket!

One more thing, how do you make your cake balls so perfect?? I just showed my hubby the picture of yours - and he laughed - because mine were oh so yummy - but not so round and cute! Ha!

I really like that lamp! And I had to laugh at the "really cute picture of their family" and a "not so cute picture of our family". I disagreed, but funny the way you said it!

What a pretty family you have! I laughed to myself when I saw the cake balls, because I tried to make them...I think I mixed in too much icing! They just fell apart when I tried to ball them! They were the best tasting yet ugliest dessert you've ever seen! I'm gonna try again soon!

I had to laugh at the "Easter dog" in the one basket because I got Brady the same dog last Easter! It's so cute!

Looks like you all had a fun-filled weekend with family and friends. Those are the best ones.

Sorry about the game yesterday!
