Saturday

Today has been such a great day! I had absolutely nothing on the agenda which is my favorite way to spend the day. I didn't wake up until almost 9 (yeay!) and then I had every intention of just being lazy and laying on the bed and watching Lifetime movies until Laurie called and wanted to know if I wanted to go to a store with her so I quickly got ready and we went for a little shopping. We both bought a Circle E candle. If you have never experienced one of these - you need one. They are the best candles ever made. I got my first one as a wedding present and have been in love ever since. They are the only candles I have ever had that truly make your entire house smell good. I got Country Morning - which is cinnamon pumpkin spice and it is SO great!
Then we decided to eat lunch so we went to Slim Chickens and I got my favorite thing in the world - Fried Pickles. And they were better than I remembered!

Emily got her first taste of ranch dressing and went nuts over it. This is hilarious because Laurie can't stand even the thought of ranch dressing so she was gagging while Emily practically drank the stuff. She usually isn't too good of an eater - but with a little ranch dressing she was eating everything in sight. And it made her so happy - she was giggling all the way home.
Tonight Scott and I had a little date. I had been looking forward to spending some one on one time with my husband. We went out to eat and then went to Sam's. I love Sam's. We stocked up on drinks and gum - you know the essential things in life.
Then we decided to hit up Starbucks before we called it a night. I had a delicious white chocolate mocha - yum!

I love weekends - how about you? :-)

I'm so jealous. I've been trying for months to get Justin out on a date. We can't ever make it work!

I have been addicted to Circle E candles for years. A local shop here used to sell them. They went out of business right after Christmas so I stocked up. I got them for $7! My favorite is Birds of Paradise!

I forgot that you like fried pickles too! I'll have to bring you some from Bizys sometime! :)

Oh those are definitely THE best candles ever--"Bird of Paradise" is my favorite...I just finished one last week and thought I'd have to order another one (I don't know of a place that sells them here??) My friend Heather introduced me to those candles. Fun day!

Oh my gosh, I got one of those candles as a gift. Texas Bluebonnet scent! I love it! I wasn't sure where to get them though.

Seems like today was a shopping day. I took the kids to TJ Maxx while Craig had an appointment with a client. I bought a planter/plant for his nightstand, two tee shirts for the boys, and my daughter's Easter dress.......with a matching dress for her doll!

Hope the rest of your weekend is just as relaxing! I love weekends!

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog! I love me some fried pickles too! And I'm about to run out the door to Costco - your pic of Sam's got me all pumped up. Some Super Bowl necessities are on the list...

Laurie told me once that Slim Chicken's fried pickles are so good you'll have to pull over if you're eating them in the car. She's right about that! And white chocolate mocha is my all time favorite Starbuck's drink.

I do love weekends, but I miss all the things there are to do in the States. I can't tell you how many times we've walked through IKEA- about the only store open past 7pm.

I'm really jealous of your Sam's outing and good eating out! :(

Hi! I saw your blog on Candy's blog and thought I would check it out. (Hope you don't mind!) That is so great to get some quality time with your hubby. I know how precious those times are these days because my husband is changing jobs so we are in the middle of relocating and separated for awhile until our house sells. Yuck!
Feel free to look at my blog also, and Thanks for letting me read!!
