Date Night

I decided it would be fun tonight to kind of play "deal or no deal" for a date night.

I wrote 3 different versions of a dinner/movie date and put them in envelopes and had Scott pick one.

The three versions were:
1. "Juno" and Outback
2. "Fool's Gold" and Chili's
3. "Bucket List" and Mimi's.

The envelope he picked had #3. On Saturdays - if we actually go to a movie - we always go to the matinee movie and then to dinner. That way we get home earlier and we save money.
The "Bucket List" is really cute. It makes you think about what you would want to do if you only had 6 months to live.
So after the movie we went to Mimi's and we sat down and Scott said "You aren't going to believe this but your blog friend Jessica is sitting behind us." So I turned around and there she was!!! We both squealed and hugged! It was so fun to see her live and in person! She is just as cute and sweet in person as she is on her blog. I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later whether we set it up or not - we just seem to gravitate towards the same places and NWA isn't that big! And we got to meet her husband David also!
Of Course I made Scott take our picture!
We had a great dinner! Scott got the Mardi Gras Burger which was HUGE - he brought half of it home and I had quiche, salad and my favorite banana chocolate muffin!
We were going to go to Sam's but it is raining so hard here that it would have been a mess so we will have to go later. Such a fun date night! With the added bonus of meeting a "bloggy" friend in person!

That is SO very fun that you and Jessica met by accident!!!!!! (so glad you had your camera with you to document it!) I've started reading her blog every day, and she seems like such a neat girl!!! And your meals look delicious! I love Mimi's food, but we keep having bad service at the one here!?!? :( We've been like the invisible table the last 3 times we've been--no one takes our order, refills our drinks, etc. They do have great food though--especially the fruit!

The best part is that Scott recognized her! So funny how we get our husbands in on it! I've been thinking we should have all the bloggy people in NWA get together sometime. We know each other so well anyways!
I've heard the Bucket List is a great movie. Can't wait to see it!

Oh my goodness, what a sweet surprize that you & Jessica were at the same place tonight. It was meant for you guys to meet tonight, & your husband relized Jessica, thats the greatest compliment to relize a stranger but only from the blogging world of pictures. It just shows how you guys could be blogging sole-mates,ha!!!! Jessica called me as soon as her & David got home. And she was so excited to meet you & Scott. And I love the envelpe idea, very creative Kelly. And I'm glad you just happen to have a camera. My hobby is photography, so a girl just happening to be carrying a camera is someone that I can relate too,Ha!!!! Thanks for your friendship to Jessica. Her & David a such great people. And I'm not just saying that because I'm her mother,Ha!!!

Kelly, I always think I am going to run into a blogging friend! One time I totally fell on a sidewalk at the Shoppes in Pinnacle (holding Harry) and a girl was so nice to ask if I was okay..i was so embarrassed...she then said she knew me from my blog! What are the odds! Anyhow, i know we will meet...with the same friends and living in the same town...how has that not happened?

I love the envelope idea! I may have to try that! How much fun that you ran into Jessica! What a small world it is. My poor husband DOES NOT get this whole blogging thing. He has no idea what I write about or to who!
