Chicken Breast Supreme

So here is my Valentines Post ( a little late)

This is me and my sweetheart
This is the cute card he gave me (it has little bichons like Dawson on the front)

And here is the recipe for our dinner. You should try it - it's a family favorite! SO GOOD!

CHICKEN BREAST SUPREME
Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
4-8 strips of bacon
16 oz sour cream
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of sliced mushrooms
1 jar of dried beef (this is found near tuna or spam)
Wrap the chicken in bacon and put in pan
Mix up all the other ingredients. Tear up the dried beef into small pieces (this is what gives the meal the real flavor)
Pour mixture over chicken and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours
I always serve with white rice and pour the extra sauce on top. If we had company - we would add vegetables or a salad and rolls - but since it's just us - we just had this. TASTY!

Such a nice looking couple, hope your Valentine's was awesome! And that meal is serious business. Thanks for sharing the chicken love :)

I'm loving that your chicken is Tyson's (my sil works in one of their research plants) and your sour cream is Wal*Mart (my brother works at the huge warehouse out near the airport). = )

The meal sounds yummy.

Kelly--I make that same dish (with a couple of minor variations) but mine is called Chicken Eden Isle from the resort in Heber Springs. So yummy. It's pretty rich though, so we usually have it only a couple of times a year, most notably on Christmas Day.

Hope your Valentines Day was wonderful!

We call this recipe Charlie's Chicken Dish because it's my husband's favorite. Instead of tearing up the dried beef, we just lay it in the bottom of the dish. His mom gave me the recipe. We don't have it too often because it's so salty, but gosh it tastes gooood!

What a cute couple you two are, wow!

The recipe sounds easy, my favorite way! I'm not a huge fan of sour cream..........can you notice the sour cream in the meal taste??

Hey Kelly,
I haven't commented before but I have been reading for a while. I made the same thing for my husband for Valentine's! That is my FAVORITE recipe that I got from my mom. We do it a little differently by lining the pan with the beef and then putting the chicken on top. The sauce is to die for though! And, I think we have the same dishes...are those by Dansk? They look just like our plates!

Love reading your blog and I am continuing to pray for God's blessing for you and your husband. I know what you are going through.

Love from an North Carolina friend!
Faith

Why is it that everything tastes better wrapped in bacon? :) I love your V-Day gift idea of donating to Compassion. That's so thoughtful, and much better than receiving something.

Mmmm! That recipe looks delicious! We love chicken in our house so I just might have to borrow this recipe! Sounds like a fun Valentine's Day! We stayed in too...a quiet evening with my honey is the best present ever! Love your blog, by the way!

Could I cook this without the bacon and dried beef??? You think it would still turn out???
