"Sweet" Shower

Our shower went really well. First of all - I'm so sad because I realized when I was almost home that I had left my camera at work and I didn't have time to go back so I took Scott's big professional camera that I don't know how to use and all the pictures but these 4 turned out blurry - so all the cute posed pictures I thought I was taking of everyone were all fuzzy.
My friend Berkli was kind enough to host the shower at her house and we had a great turnout.

I got to use my new drink dispenser that my mom got me for Christmas! It worked great. I'm a little nervous about cleaning it but I really love it! I made a punch recipe from Paula Deen and it was very good. All you do is take 2 bags of frozen fruit (thawed) any kind and puree it with about a cup of sugar and mix in a couple of bottles of ginger ale (I used rasberry).
The sign is made out of scrap book paper and scrap book sticker letters. I just cut out rectangles and folded them over a ribbon and taped them to spell out the words. So easy and fun!

Here is the mom-to-be Amy. She got so many cute things. She got a TON of monogrammed burp cloths, bibs, bags and onesies for little Ella Kate.
Here is everyone watching the gifts being opened
This is Leah, Amy, and Elizabeth with the famous hands on the belly shot.

And now I am home and tired and just remembered that Scott's work is having a potluck lunch tomorrow and I'm supposed to make a dessert. So I'm just making another batch of cookies that I made for the shower. I've made them before but you can also see the recipe (and other forms of the recipe) here on Pioneer Woman Cooks.
And then I'm going to bed. :-)

The shower turned out so cute. Just catching up on my blog reading and wanted to say how sorry I am about the IUI not working this time. My heart breaks for you, but I believe God will honor you in His perfect time. My sister had 3 IUI's that failed and her first In Vitro worked so please don't lose heart. By sharing your journey so openly, you are really helping minister to so many others. Praying for you.

We used my friends' five Italian glass beverage jars with the spigots at our wedding reception (a lot like yours). They were fabulous because no one had to serve the drinks! She bought hers at Tuesday Morning. I just remembered that after reading your mom's post on her blog.

Everything turned out SO cute! The punch recipe sounds great - I'll remember that. And the diaper cake is adorable. I've made a foofier one, but I love the lines of that one. Great job on everything!
