Fall into the Gap

I have fallen back in love.......................................................with the GAP!
I used to like the Gap about 10 years ago and then they started mostly carrying khaki pants and bright colored sweaters and I'm just more of a dress girl. I've never liked pants or jeans and I don't imagine I'll change anytime soon. I'm more comfortable in dresses than anything. Slip one on - put on boots or sandals depending on the season and you are good to go. No matching up outfits for me!
Anyway - in the last couple of months - I have found the cutest things at the Gap. And they are good to mark down their stuff pretty quickly. I also love it's Older more mature sister - Banana Republic - but it is a little high even on sale. And I love it's little sister Old navy too. But Gap has stolen my heart once again.
And here is why:

This cute little chambray dress would look so cute in spring with sandals or right now with a long sleeve t-shirt, tights and maybe some funky boots!
I love shirt dresses - they make you look a lot slimmer in the waist! So cute!
Love this Cowboys blue dress. If the cowboys had made it to the super bowl - I would have needed to wear this to the watch party.
and hello Green! Does this not just scream spring? yeay!!!
And don't get me started on baby Gap. I can't even go in there because I'm afraid I would be buying all kinds of precious baby goodies and I'm not good with unisex things.
What is your favorite store?

I absolutely LOVE the green shirt! There was a running joke that our Sr. class moto was "Fall into the Gap" Seriously. Jessica can attest to that one!

We have loved Target & Old Navy for years. We got an Old Navy care over the summer and were surprised to see it was good at Gap too, so I wandered over in the mall to check out the store. It's wonderful. They also have some of the cutest kids clothes too. I bought most of Jacob's back to school clothes at Gap and Old Navy!!

I am in love with that first dress! I'm a dress girl too-they are so easy and always make it look like you put forth effort even when you don't-ha!
That green shirt is so pretty too.

I might be in the minority here, but I'm not a dress girl. At all. I wear jeans 99% of the time. Every once in a blue moon I'll wear a skirt to church, but our church is so casual, that you're in the minority if you're not wearing jeans. I love that about Colorado! That being said, my favorite stores are REI and Eddie Bauer.

PS--The green top is very cute and would look cute with jeans!

Kelly...come see me sometime and I'll take you to the Gap outlet that's about 25 minutes from my house! I buy most of my kids clothes there b/c I can usually buy them cheaper than I can at Target. You'd *heart* that place!

i adore old navy for myself. i have always loved the gap and i have a gap outlet near me (love it)!

for the girls though, i am way into the boutique clothes. i guess i'm a "little girls clothes snob." i just can't help it! it's a sickness!

Dresses are definitely your trademark. I don't think I would recognize you in pants! You always look like a fashion plate in the pictures you post. I, too, have recently bought things at Old Navy, but I haven't been in GAP in years. I'll have to check it out.

I love a good dress too! My fav' store is T.J. Maxx, which is sad b/c they are like an "every" brand store.

I had kind of gotten sick of Gap stuff too but it looks like they're coming back! I love the dresses!

I agree with the Gap being plain in the past. Now I love them again. They are much more afforable than Banana (which I LOVE) and have become so cute again.

I love wearing dresses too...you are making me want to shop. And you are making me think about my spring and summer closet...hmmm...maybe I should start working on it.

My faves.........hmmmm. I think it depends on what I'm shopping for really. LOL I love Target for a variety of great things. I also have just gotten into TJ Maxx for home stuff--haven't looked in the clothing section yet though. I like Nordstrom and Old Navy/Gap. I also love Gymboree, Limited Two, and Justice for Girls for my daughter. I think she dresses better than I do. LOL We live near the major outlets, which I love.........can't beat a Coach outlet! LOL

Oh and Mer you're not alone, I'm not much of a dress girl either. But I have to say that these are cute. I think I'll have to check them out.

Francesca's is kind-of my favorite clothing place right now. I don't shop much anyway, but when I do, I can usually make a quick trip in this store and find something I like. I'm glad one opened here!

I got the picture at the Pinnacle Razorback store and framed it at Hobby Lobby. They also had the same picture on a canvas but it was ridiculously expensive, so I bought the poster. They had the same type of abstract picture of Old Main, but I liked the Razorback better--very unique!

My favorite store has to be The Limited, although I was just introduced to XXI (Forever 21) since one opened here in Park Plaza, and I must say that I'm loving that store! The prices can't be beat! Those dresses are so cute! If you have them or get them, you should post a picture!!

I LOVE DRESSES, too! I'm for sure going to have to make a stop in Gap and see all the cute stuff!

Those are the cutest dresses! I haven't been to the GAP in forever. I might have to make a visit b/c that chambray dress is darling! And too bad the Cowboys didn't make it to the play-offs b/c that would have been the cutest "watch party" outfit ever!

My favorite stores are Banana Republic and J. Crew. I do agree, Gap has some cuter stuff lately.

Hey Kelly! I recently found your blog through Jessica's and I have really enjoyed reading it. I hope you don't mind me stopping by! I absolutely love that first dress. I agree with you on Baby Gap, I am totally guilty of buying too much stuff there and all of the matching accessories that go with the outfits! I have been praying for you and your husband since I started reading your blog and know that God has a plan for you and will bless you at the "perfect" time! It happened to my husband and I when we weren't expecting it and while at the time it seemed like the "wrong time." I know it was all in his plan and your time is coming!

Hi! I found your blog through Jessica's who I don't know in person, but love reading her blog! I hope you don't mind me stopping by. It looks like I have found another fun blog to keep up with. :) I love the dresses even though I am not a dress person at all! As a former Gap manager I would say, "never buy anything full price from there". Everything always goes on sale. I don't know if this is still how it works, but markdowns used to always be on Wednesdays.

Kelly, you are such a cute girl you could wear anything & still be cute. But you are so right about Gap getting better stuff in these days. I enjoy reading whats going on in your world, this blogging web-site stuff is very addictive. I try to check what you & Jessica McCash is up to almost every day. Just love it...
